The hotel was not much to look at from the outside, even a bit difficult to spot. But once you went in it was all different.

The room was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good. The hotel was located in a quiet area of Buda part of Budapest. Excellent value for money. I would whole-heartedly recommend the hotel for your stay in Budapest.

Only item that could be better was the making of the bed. I understand linen not being changed for environmental reasons but the linen could have been shaken/folded daily..

Location excellent with 16 bus taking minutes to reach the other side,of the river and all the castle sites beside the hotel.. Breakfast very good with buffet serving hot amd Cold food. Breads. Pastries, eggs and Bacon, cereals, fruit, yogurt Room big and, spotlessly clean with big comfortable. Bed. Also had a. Fridge. Toiletries and Coffee were replaced daily. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The room needed some better cleaning, specifically next to the bed.

The Hotel is located with a 4 minute walk of the tourist attractions in Buda. It's a typical old building meticulously maintained and very well kept. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, coffe maker, small fridge, the shower was great and the bathroom too. Service was professional and friendly and overall I had a great stay. I must point out that the breakfast was absolutely superb with every option imaginable. For the price and location, I could not have asked for more.

Buda Castle Hotel is what it says on the tin . Located 5 min walk from the World Heritage sightings: Renaissance 15th century Matthias Church, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Tower. Spotless clean throughout compared to other Western city hotels in terms of location and price. In January this is still under £90 / 100 €. Price includes breakfast - cooked ( you need to let them know what you would like to be cooked from the menu) or continental style buffet : plenty of cheese, salami, salad, fruits etc - please see photos. The basic double room was huge and spacious much larger in comparison to other Budapest more expensive 4 star hotels. The beds are XL king or queen size - extra pillows can be found in the sliding wardrobes. The outside lobby area is very welcoming - it has a minimalistic but luxury feel to it. I can't emphasize enough that in terms of price and location this is an exceptionally good hotel company to other cities - which are most of the time a huge let down in terms of price and quality.

Gluten-free bread was served near the regular bread which makes a contamination and a person with celiac disease cannot eat it. So, the person with celiac disease doesn't have a big choice for breakfast and it's better to bring your bread.

Missing ladder radiator when you wanna hang your towel to let him gry. Missing extra blankets at the room. You have to go down to reception for it, because they don't pick the hotel phone.

Excellent location close to fisherman's bastion, beautifully restored building with modern amenities, great parking arrangement (parking anywhere on the street, payment at the hotel at a discounted price), bus 16 to city centre close by. Recommendation for dinner: Ramazuri Bistronomy (whereas Jamie Oliver is not worth going).

It's perhaps getting a little bit tired and could do with paint being redone and carpet updated, but the rooms are really big, very quiet and the location is great. Not so great to get to by public transport but walking distance to the castle and other attractions. A few restaurants close by if you arrive late like we did and need dinner. Overall, very good value for the price we paid and I would stay there again.

Door on the closet were stuck. I told reception, assume they fixes it after our departure. The curtains did not fully overlap - street level windows. Not a big deal.

The bathroom needs good limescale removal and proper metal polishing.

The bedroom was really big and well-furnished. The mattress was comfortable. Little welcome pack with tea and coffee. A couple of TV channels in different languages.
