Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The breakfast was not so rich. The room was not clean enough.
The apartman is very good located, very close to the city center, but yet very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. There is a parking facility in the backyard for free, and it was allowed to leave the car for a couple of hours after checking out. The staff was also very kind and helpful.

Nothing, really. Only suggestion would be to add some outlets, especially around the table/desk.
The staff was amazing and helped me with anything I needed despite my beginner Hungarian. At the same time, I was left on my own which was great. The location is perfect for those, like me, who attend the university (Medical School, where the Summer Courses are taught as well). LOVED the freezing air conditioning. The room and bathroom were spacious.

The internet did not work with our laptops, only with my phone. My laptop said something about it being too old for proper security. Reception tried to get it fixed but it didn't happen while we were there (a Sunday).
The breakfast was ok, plenty of meats, cheeses and breads. A few cereals and yoghurt, but no porridge, so I made my own in the kitchenette. I'm not sure if there was any fruit. The location was terrific, very near the castle, and walking distance of the old town and 6th century Christian mausoleum. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom quite large.

We didn't need it at all bit kitchen is not too equipped for home cooking. But it is enough to get by and the rest is not necessary at all
Perfect place with private parking. Really short walk from the centre, but yet quiet location. It was very clean and perfect place to stay for us. There were two small family in the two bed apartment. Could close the main entrance door, but still had the privacy for our own individual apartments with kitchenette and bathroom each.

The location of the apartment was wonderful, close to everything interesting in the town. The breakfast was good, The apartment was clean and has everything necessary for short stay.

I forgot to tell in advance about my celiac disease. They were super flexible and brought me gluten free breads for breakfast. I really appreciate that.

Simple accomodation, but clean. Good location, just hundreds meters from historical center. 10-15 mins walking distance to restaurants. If you arrive in dark, hard to visible from street. Parking looks like is for something else. Would be great to have more lights on walking way from parking down to Apt. Breakfest is fair but could be more rich.

There was no soap, or shampoo, or bath in the bathroom.

Loud fridge which we had to switch off during the night as the noise kept us waking up. The wifi was not very strong and kept disonnecting.
We liked this place in general and would return. Its very clean, simple but comfortable. The staff is nice and flexible. The location is great and it has an inner parking with plenty of shades. The breakfast was good too.
