Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Outdated and worn bathroom.
Spacious room. Great view, the kids loved watching the buses, trains and airplanes. Excellent location - next to a shopping center and an integrated bus/metro/train station. The city center is reachable in 15-20 minutes. Free private parking.

The "small single room" I booked was really, really small. It was fine for me, clean and actually quite cozy, but probably not suitable for a longer stay, e.g. for someone traveling with a lot of luggage, in the hot summer months, etc.
Parking was great: safe and free of charge. The staff was very kind and the overall impression quite nice for a budget hotel. It is also conveniently close to the metro station (although a bit far from the city center if you want to take a rest during a busy day).

Single room is quite tiny with small window and limited view - it’s ok but be prepared for that
Convenient and affordable hotel for airport travelers. Nice location close to the metro/shuttle bus stop and shopping mall. Clean room, renovated facilities. Tea/coffee treats on arrival. Friendly staff.

The location of the hotel is a little out of town and in a messy part of town, but for short stays it's great.
Great value for the price. It's close to metro, perfect hotel for short trip to discover Budapest.

Everything was good. Pay attention to the bathroom, I guess it’s time to make some renovation to give a fresher look.

Small basic rooms, but that doesn't bother us
We have stayed in this hotel many times. It has a very convenient location for arrival/departure between train/subway and bus to airport. Wonderful breakfast. Good mattresses. Great quality/value ratio.

All were good
I was exited about the hotel Chesscom. We had one night before our flight and Chesscom was really good offer. Good location, nice employees who helped with answers for our questions about nearest transport, cute and really clean room. And also delicious breakfast with a lot dishes. Recommend this place!

Wouldn't stay for more than one night. For visiting Budapest, I recommend to research options on transportation to city centre.
Since we stayed only one night, the room was perfect for the occasion. It was small room, seems like they turn a hall into the room. It was clean, warm enough and comfortable. Breakfast options were enough for every needs. The hotel provides free parking.

One tiny elevator on the half floor, literally, you need to lift your luggage and go up approx 10 steps to the elevator. The lift for a maximum of 2 people with 1 luggage .
Standard room with comfortable beds. Parking inside but on surface, good for LPG cars.

everything was great
The breakfast was exceptional, the buffet had a great choice of food, sweet and savoury, and drinks. The location was perfect, 5 min walk to the metro which will take you to the center of Budapest in 15 minutes. The airport bus is also 5 minutes away from the accommodation. Great authentic restaurant just by the corner of the hotel. We completely enjoyed our stay, the staff was helpful and very quick at solving any inquiries we might have had, great communication. Free parking.

The location of the hotel is very convenient for the night transfer to the airport. Many tourists use these advantages. However, the reception desk provided very limited information about the stop and tickets for bus 200 E. It would be very convenient if there was a map of the bus stop to the airport and an explanation of where to buy tickets.

We were there for only 1 night but we found everything we needed. The hotel is close to the airport and also to several places to eat and buy miscellaneous. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Parking available on site. Breakfast was good.
