Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

No shower, only bathtub. We got an apartmant on the 1st floor, so there wasn't really a view, based on the pictures I expected a nice view.
Very friendly and helpful stuff, they allowed us to postpone the checkout with 1hr for free. Nice, comfortable place.

- As it is not a "normal" hotel with a reception, it was really difficult to contact the staff. We had some urgent questions and tried to call several times but did not get an answer. The office wasn't staffed either. In case of an emergency there is no one to contact which is quite concerning (e.g. when you have to leave spontaneously but want to get back yout deposit of 100€). - Check-In is only available from 3pm to 5pm which was working for us, but I imagine it could be not doable for some occasions. It's possible to check in later but you'll have to pay a fee. - 2 (out of 3) saunas were closed, so it was often quite stuffed. Also keep in mind the spa area is used by the whole complex which includes not only hotel guests but also residents
We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was fully equipped and quite spacious. The best part was definitely the whirlpool and sauna. It was really clean and we felt relaxed! Wifi was working perfectly as well. The location is great as it's directly at the lake and a 15 minute walk to the city center.

Someone is at the reception at very limited time. Check-out process is complicated. We have to wait at the apartment from 10am to almost 1030am. Someone came to check the room and return 100euro deposit, which is only asked to pay after booked the apartment.
The apartment is spacious and right next to the lake. It is off season so almost no one lives around, and it is very quiet. The view is great.

GPS lead us to a different location, so we had a little trouble finding the reception. But it's not hotel's fault.

The 2nd bed (sofa extension) is not very comfortable. there’s no reception always easily available, there were some small ants in the apartment.

Pretty awkard check in process. Very early check out. Not transparent on booking with the hole cost

Minor details - kitchen without coffee / tea (despite coffee machine), no dishwasher tablets. Terrace sofas damaged.
Breathtaking view from terrace, very comfortable family apartment. Nice wellness and swimming pools. Great breakfasts included

The check in process is absolutely complicated and limited. Unfortunately, we came for a short stay and had enough time to wait but otherwise it would be very complicated. The check out is also quite complicated and the deposit return as well. At the end we passed without significant problems but it could happened easily. More information regarding chack in and out policies before the reservation are required. Also, regarding the SPA, when its closed, regarding price of the parking etc. Read all carefully, and comments, before make the reservation.
Apartment is outstanding. The space, the equipment, location. Nobody could possibly find some complaint regarding the apartment. The terrace and the view. Everything is outstanding. There is enough space even for the exercise equipment in the bedroom. Didn't use it but they are there and seams that they work. The host even provided an additional extra breakfast. We got much more then we expected and the price was far under the quality offered.

The check-in process was tricky, as we arrived a little earlier but there is no reception so with my tired parents we had to wait outside in the wind until it was 3pm, however, the lady came a bit earlier since I called her but try not to go before 3pm. The location is great for summer, in April everything nearby is closed and the walk to the nearest supermarket or restaurant is 15-20 minutes. There wasn't enough pillows, and one pillow was not comfortable, other than that the apartment was very good.
The view from balcony was amazing and the balcony was very big too with two doors, from living room and bedroom! The apartment is spacious and has everything needed. The breakfast was great, we could order the meal we wanted one day before and then they serve it between 8-10 with coffee and juice. The building had nice wellness with indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas and lockers. everything was working well.
