This was a nice little hotel in a quiet square close to the centre of Budapest. My room was large with big windows and a decent en-suite. It was simple it terms of its decor and facilities but was very comfortable and clean. The cafe on the ground floor is very nice, with good food and service and a nice terrace. The staff (both in the hotel and in the cafe) were very polite and helpful.

Only slight negative was being an older building, the rooms are finished in a traditional style with parquet wooden floors, so heavy footed guests residing the upper floors will be apparent if you are a light sleeper.

A fabulous hotel with super friendly staff who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Great location too for a choice of restaurants, the metro and if you are intending to take a river cruise, all are within easy walking distance. We had a beautiful room on the first floor, with one of only two balconies over looking the street. Would definitely recommend/ go back.

You can shower only using the bath. It's nice. However, water will fly all over the floor whenever you shower.

Very unique little hotel, the decor and character of the building really added to the authenticity. The location was perfect for all the attractions, it was literally a couple of minutes walk to the where all the shops and bars were. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Only had breakfast one morning in the cafe which was very nice as we liked to venture out to different places, but the cafe always looked busy.

Beautiful building with high ceilings, lovely architectural details and full of character. Located in a little square with it’s own restaurant and outside cafe. Most importantly the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was worth paying a little extra for a room with an external balcony which was just delightful.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning & had difficulty gaining entrance to the hotel There was a bell to ring but no one answered for quite a length of time & we had to go & knock loudly at a window.

The only thing I could suggest is perhaps a coat stand or hooks for outdoor coats. On a couple of occasions we returned with wet coats and had to hook them on the handles of bathroom and toilet, not ideal.

Great location. For our 4night stay. We were in the twin attic room which was full of character and charm, which was clean and well presented. Plenty of space to sit and relax and plan the following days sightseeing. Staff were very friendly both on reception and in the adjoining restaurant. We were booked in for breakfast each morning and personally enjoyed the fact that it was menu only and not buffet style, although it did take us the first morning to realise we could order more than one thing. We also eat in the restaurant a couple of evenings I would advise booking if you definitely know you are eating that evening as it is a public restaurant and appears very popular with locals. The food was great and again presented well, it’s only a small menu but good value.

Food in general quite bland but still a good experience. .

Location was perfect, just 5 mins from Danube river. My room very large, beautifully olde worlde, warm, comfortable and quiet. Close to Hop on, Hop off stop, buses and trams. Many typical Hungarian restaurants, fast food outlets and shops all around. I took breakfast at Muse just a couple of minutes away. Charming, helpful staff with yummy food. Before I came people who had been to Budapest before said you must go on a night time river cruise. It was amazing to see all the historic buildings, churches and bridges lit up
