There's sand and pebbles on the bathroom floor. Although it feels nice aesthetically. It's not practical . As it takes time for water to drain and the bathroom is never completely dry. Maybe that's why there were many many mosquitos in the bathroom.

Amazing hardworking staff. Awesome location with a sunrise spot and snorkelling spot right infront of the property. Good food. Rooms were comfortable.

Would have liked clean bed linen and a fresh towel even a toilet clean or ability to do this cleaning ourselves during our stay. We stayed 7 days, there was no service.

Staff are wonderful Just an ideal location to snorkel and chill on the beach. Food is cheap. Accommodation is rustic but quite adequate. Atmosphere is just fantastic. We loved our little corner of paradise, and will certainly come back sometime soon. Accommodation is rustic and authenthic Indonesian. We loved that. The team looked after us really well. We felt like part of the family.

You can hear your neighbour's conversation, not very private. Some noise from the surrounding area/facilities.

Bungalow style walls were very thin so was quite noisy. Could hear kids in next room, hostel music next door and super loud ghecko in wall behind our heads.

Door closes only if you lock with the key. No one cleaned inside and we didn’t have toilet paper. Small things that they can change easily.

Nice chill place close to the sea with friendly staff. They can arrange boat tours for snorkelling and rent of bicycles. We liked the breakfast and also our dinner. The BBQ fish is really great! Nice area for chilling by the sea and enjoy some drinks. Overall it was nice 3 days stay at Gillis. If you are looking for relaxation is the perfect gateway! Totally recommend.

Bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable/hard, even more uncomfortable than most beds I’ve had in Indonesia. AC doesn’t really cool the room (room wasn’t hot, but it was not great, it was pretty warm at night).

Great value for the location, it’s right by the beach, good swimming spot, about a 3 minute walk from the most popular snorkeling spot (where you can see the turtles). You can have breakfast by the beach (breakfast was basic but good). You can roll out of bed and walk outside and see the most beautiful sunrise by the beach (located in the sunrise side of the island). Bungalow had a hammock in the front. Staff was nice.

There is no daily cleaning (we were there for 4 days) and didn’t get clean towels. Neither was our house or bathroom cleaned. Shower is only cold. Breakfast is bare minimum. Location is great!!

The guys who run it are super nice and willing to help. Kids loved them!

We didn't use the pool for a couple of reasons- the beach was so close; the pool was out in the open and had no seating area or furniture.

The location was very good- right on the beach with lounge chairs and beach gazebos. A long walk to the ferry terminal; many woud use the horse and carriage (cimodo) to get to the accommodation from the ferry. The staff were very friendly and were willing to make us coffees early in the morning, even though breakfast was not available until 8am. Breakfast basic but adequate. Cold water showers, comfortable bed.P
