This is the most minor of criticisms, but the villa I booked said it was water views from upstairs. I would say this is a little overstated and water “glimpses” is more accurate. There is a lot of vegetation in the garden which, while lovely and affording privacy, blocks most of the water views. Only a minor issue though because I spent so little time in the villa, and you need only go steps outside to see the view

Everything. This hotel is exceptional. I didn’t want to leave. The staff were all friendly, professional and prompt and looked after even the tiniest of details. The pool is lovely and relaxing and the beach in front is beautifully maintained. Sanur is a much quieter area which I really liked.

I found the bed too hard & uncomfortable but others in my group didn’t have any issues.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, a true oasis. We loved the bungalows, the pool and the beach location. The staff were exceptional, so attentive and warm. And the food was fabulous. The hotel catered really well for both adults and children. We really didn’t want to leave!

I did not expect such a charming hotel to host a blood sport! On Sunday 24 March, as part of the ceremony for the anniversary of the temple (located within the grounds of the hotel), there was cock fighting. Blades were attached to the cockerels and they were made to fight to the death. Not only do I think that it is totally inappropriate for the hotel to host such an 'event', I strongly believe that this cruel, barbaric, practice should be outlawed altogether!

A truly beautiful traditional Balinese hotel.! The rooms and facilities are second to none (the pool is heavenly) and the hotels' private beach is the best in Sanur.

Our stay wasn't long enough.

Beautiful property on the beach with chaise lounges, parasols, tables with bar/restaurant service, ocean swimming and a lovely pool in tropical surroundings . The property was very authentic Balinese with statues, flowers, fountains and meandering path to each private bungalow. Also, the hotel was far back from the main entry road so no traffic noise but great to walk to and be in the heart of town. There was also a lengthy, beach pathway that stretched for km's connecting to cafe's, hotels, shops so we rented bikes for half a day and explored. Spacious bungalow room, beautifully appointed with a private outdoor, shower and indoor bath for two. Also, an open-air cabana, not attached, for lazing and enjoying nature. The staff was excellent, attentive and friendly. Food was varied and delicious (breakfast was included).

If you look for a privacy - this place is for you! We enjoyed a calm atmosphere in your bungalow courtyard and on the hotel’s beach as well. Breakfast was the best ever in Bali! It was pleasant to feel an attentive staff.

Not a comment on Tandjung Sari but it's a bit of a shame how many big hotels are going up in the area, which seems to have taken away from the local stalls and restaurants a bit.

Gorgeous location, quiet, the beachfront was wonderful: small and pretty and perfect for swimming (floating in the beautiful water) when full. The breakfast and food at the restaurant was very good. The Bali cocktails were delish. The pool is small but also very pretty. I didn't use it much because the beach was so nice but it was lovely for a dip. I also love that the rooms and place have a lot of character. For me, that is much preferable to a large fancy resort.

The only thing I could fault was the lack of a curtain on the window door leading onto our courtyard.

Tandjung Sari Hotel is a true oasis once you step through the wooden doors off the hectic boardwalk you enter your own tropical Indonesian paradise and nirvana. The food was all delicious with a wide variety of local specialities to choose from and being seated by the pool and in view of the private beach create the perfect backdrop. How wonderful to also witness the young legong dancers by the pool pavilion learning the art of the traditional Balinese dance. The staff were all extremely friendly and hospitable in every way.

Everything! Very upmarket. Rooms were great, quiet, clean and big. Restaurant was good and best breakfasts! Nice pool and close to beach with your own private beach area and great spot to swim and snorkel and surf during high tide. Available SUP to use at the hotel for free. Best place in Sanur

The staff and management were very helpful and lovely as we got covid on day one of our visit so had to isolate most of our stay!

Everything was perfect except we didn’t know you could request a TV in the room so we didn’t have one for 4 days however it was a blessing as we could chat and read more as a family.

The villas were so beautiful and spacious. The beds were very comfortable - we had adjoining rooms with our teenagers and it was perfect.
