Location as it is a little out of the way, but only because I don't like driving the scooters. If you have a scooter it's perfect as it's in a nice quiet tranquil area

Some details need to be checked: -toilet seat had stains -wood floor in the pool deck is not in good conditions -the phone in the room was super old, I could barely hear the other person -you cant really see the rice fields bc the wall is covered by plants and the part that is not covered is super dirty. There were some dropping curtains there that looked very ruined.

The villa is absolutely gorgeous, the swimming pool as well. The swimming pool has a step where you can sit to have floating breakfast. The common area was simple but it felt very modern and fresh. Staff was super friendly and attentive.

The property was quaint but had all required amenities and services. It is set in the middle of the most beautiful little village and surrounded by rice paddy’s. The gardening and little decorations around the property are stunning.

The only thing I didn't like was the rooms are quite forgotten and used, one of the days we didn't have water in the room, but they were very kind to solve it.

Extremely friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was super tidy. If you want to have a little retreat from the bustle, then Villa Kayu is a very good option. It’s a matter of course that you’ve a means of transport, since the place is located far away from everything. But it has beautiful surroundings, such a nice view.

We did not like the food that much but that's a personal preference. Generally in Indonesia you have to count with lot of animals everywhere, as the hotels are very close to nature - not a cleanliness problem.

Very quiet location, close to Ubud centre and all the tourist hotspots. Free shuttle is provided to Ubud supermarket, a walk of approx. 20min to the centre markets. Everything is clean and friendly staff is always there to help.

Drop down bamboo screen to the outside eating area was not there as was visible at the adjoining villas, this meant that there were many occasions where we were unable to eat outside as the sun was directly to the table. Inconsistent breakfast timing agreement from the reception. Occasional loss of hot water. Safe is not secured down, so no point really. The 3 viewing window panes outside to the padi fields were mostly obscured due to overgrown greenery.

Service was excellent. The accommodation size and amenity is great. Provision of affordable scooter rental was excellent. Free car transfers to Ubud centre. Massage was great. The bedding and villa was kept nice and clean. The AC units and ceiling fans worked very well. Location amongst padi fields

There was one day where the power cut out and we weren’t able to get into contact with the staff. However minor issue as it was fixed in the day.

Staff were so friendly and helpful! They even helped us collect an item from GoJek when we were away. Breakfast was lovely, and the included romantic dinner for two was incredible! The mood, ambience and all the decoration - stunning! It made our engagement celebration so memorable :)

I would recommend that they sell cocktails, this place with a pina colada would be perfect. The decorated tub was a Balinese fantasy, however we did not dare to use it because the flowers looked full of ants. That did look very pretty decorated.

It is a magical place, with everything you need to live an unforgettable experience, the place is beautiful and clean, we had a beautifully decorated romantic dinner, a very delicious floating breakfast and a very relaxing massage, it is a dream place.

Nothing everything was exceptional

Very friendly staff who greeted us at all times with a smile. Also made sure to value privacy at all times which was nice and place was always spotless even if we only went out for an hour or 2. Really like the courtesy coach into the Ubud centre aswell making it very easy to get around
