Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBetter coffee beans to use in the breakfast coffees. Everything else was enjoyable and not an issue at all. The room was a bit noisy but I don't think the hotel can help this as it was an external issue.
Booking.com didn't make it super clear at booking that I would pay at book in at the hotel, so that situation was really confusing. Once booked in, staff were very friendly throughout and the stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious enough and had good facilities. The coffee machine was great and the use of Rituals body wash/shampoo was also a nice touch. I enjoyed the continental/full Irish breakfast and there was enough choices to enjoy the breakfast. The coffee offered was okay but I really have a high standard for morning coffee (it was from those machines and the beans used not the highest quality). Overall very enjoyable and again staff were helpful and quick to help. The room was somewhat noisy due to trucks delivering goods at a pub I believe outside my room. This isn't something the hotel could help, but it did make it tricky to get to sleep. Luckily I always travel with earplugs and an eye mask. The noise did die down and later on the room was cozy, quiet and enjoyable.

United KingdomThe espresso coffee machine didn't work, I left a note for room service explaining so, when I got back there was a note telling me to contact reception (I would have thought housekeeping could have sorted this??? I was out all day and evening so it was late when I got back) so, following morning no espresso that either. (It was never repaired while I was there). I made tea instead but these were never replenished over the weekend nor the water or sugar.
The size of the room I was first allocated was small and dark, the room after was large and bright.

United KingdomWindows were thin so could still hear some noise but not horrendous. Also other guests noisy, and our room was next to the cleaners cupboard which they were slamming the door/surrounding doors and talking loud early morning.
Very friendly staff, lovely modern, clean hotel. Just the right walking distance to city centre attractions.

United States of AmericaHaving worked in the hospitality service all my life, for example, at Hilton, we found that the staff were not very friendly and had to be prompted for us to get some attention and service. This was very much noted at the bar, we would sit and no one would ask us what we desired to drink, nor would they ask if we needed refills. Staff coming in the main doors while we were going to catch our UBER just pushed themselves through us and complained we were obstructing their entering the lobby. One tall slim guy just put his hands up in the air and said really. Yes, they were staff, they had uniforms.
The room was nice and clean, excellent location.

United KingdomWe got a room on the first floor, and we could hear the dumpster truck picking up the trash from the road early in the morning at 8am. If it bothers you, best to request for a room away from the main road.
The location is convenient, near supermarket.

United States of AmericaThe shower overflowed the first day. That was quickly remedied. The toilet never did really flush correctly despite maintenance visits twice. We stopped asking after the second visit and they said it was working correctly. (It never did.) The room was warm, but the desk gave us a fan and we cracked the window to let fresh cool air in. It would have been nice to be able to control the temperature ourselves.
The room was very comfortable. The amenities were great. We were offered a discounted upgrade to include breakfast. So that we did that! The food was really good and convenient to not have to wander around to find breakfast.
