Everything was perfect! The location, the interior, the beds were so darn comfy :) a walk-in shower, shower gel and shampoo were provided, the kitchen with all its appliances were new and in absolute perfect conditions! Walk into town was like 10 minutes. Overall it was just perfect!

It was a great location to town, only about a 5-10 minute walk. It also gave plenty of space to hang out and cook our own meals.

We toured Ireland for 2 weeks and Buttermilk was our favorite lodging, hands down! Everything was perfect. Cathriona is a fantastic host and made herself available for any question we had. She even gave us a bag of apples so we could go visit her ponies. Breakfast was superb, best we had during our entire trip. My husband said we need to go back to Ireland just to stay at Buttermilk!

We stayed in BnB's almost exclusively during our 2 weeks in Ireland and the Buttermilk was hands down the best of all. The room was lovely, breakfast out of this world and easy walk to town.

The best Irish breakfast we had on our Ireland trip! In addition, there were multiple options on the menu to choose from. The hosts were very friendly and shared some good recommendations, the room was spacious, had a water kettle, tea, coffee and etc. There were so many cows in the lodge, which we found to be very cute :) Thank you very much for a great stay!

We had a really great stay at Buttermilk. The lodge is surrounded by greenery but 5 minutes walk from Clifden centre. The staff is super nice, the structure and rooms are cozy and clean and breakfasts are GREAT! It's a perfect position to visit Connemara and would absolutely recommend it.

We liked absolutely everything about this wonderful guest house. Room was spacious, clean, equipped with bath products and area information……and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a five minute walk into town, so once you park your car for the evening, there’s no need to move it again. Breakfast is a variety of cold and hot with fantastic homemade breads to boot. Warm and welcoming hosts……what more could you ask for.

Google maps did not take us to the correct place and we did have to wander a bit to find it. Not the property’s fault at all but just warning others. It’s actually located well on a main street but google maps has us wandering around some side streets that were unnecessary.

We ended up having to arrive dramatically later than we wanted or anticipated and the host was gracious despite the late hour. The rooms were terrific and the beds were very comfortable. I took a nice long hot bath after a long day and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options for everyone. The host provided some bug spray before we left to wander Kylemore because it was midge season. It was very thoughtful of the host to make sure we knew everything we were walking into for the day!

I rate the Buttermilk 10/10 cows, although that doesn't accommodate for all the cows on the property! I really enjoyed my stay there. It's a short walk into Clifden, which is filled with all sorts of art galleries and restaurants. The Buttermilk conveniently has all available menus in the lobby to peruse before venturing into town. Because it's just a little out of town, my room was quiet and so I had peaceful nights there. The breakfast was top notch, with daily specials. The first day I had the waffles and they were scrumptious! They also offer a packed lunch, which I opted for on the day I biked on the Sky Road loop. Their ham sandwich really hit the spot!
