TV was not working and WIFI signal did not reach the top floor

Staff were as accommodating as they could be, room was at the top of the building so quiet, but a trek to get to your room! Lovely old building. Fantastic pub with lots of atmosphere. Mix up on the booking, but was sorted out really quickly and with little fuss.

It advertises free parking however it’s only on street, there is no dedicated hotel car park. We stayed in November so not many tourists. If you’re visiting in Summer, good luck finding a car park. Breakfast, so sorry to say, was well … awful. I had scrambled eggs that were so dry and overcooked, I couldn’t eat. I ended up having Rice Bubbles from the continental bar. We also had dinner the previous night. My husbands soup arrived. He was half way through his soup before staff realised they forgot to put my order of tortellini in. When my order arrived, my husband had finished his meal and there was a hair in my tortellini. I notified the staff. They took it back and asked if I would like to order the same. Hesitantly I said yes, thinking they would just serve me the same dish. To my surprise, they didn’t charge me for the tortellini.

Overall everything was excellent, tea and coffee in the room and hairdryer. My only gripe would be the plug for drying your hair was not great to use with the mirror and like so many places these days the lights were very dim. Okay for reading in bed but main light not good for makeup etc

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, staff were really friendly. Bed was comfortable, pub was friendly and the dinner menu was very good. All in all would highly recommend

We didn't realise that there would be 2 flights of steep stairs, ( we should have asked) but we managed. The hotel decor is a bit tired ( but we appreciated that it is a pub with a lot of history), however we had everything we required and it was clean.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, parking was available and it was definitely the biggest room we have been given on our trip 🙂 It is walking distance to everything in the town.

The location of the accommodation was great - so central. The twin room was compact but fine for a single occupancy. It was bright and clean. Breakfast was sufficient. It is very convenient that the pub below offers food and of course drinks every day. Staff was helpful.

Stayed on a Saturday night, was on the second floor and could not sleep until band finished at circa 1am . Remote control for tv did not work

Tv was present but had no signal, so it might as well not have been there. Wifi only had connection in a corner of the room, zero bars. Come on, it's 2023. The ceiling in the bathroom could use a fresh coat of paint, the last one was falling off.

Delicious food for a very reasonable price, friendly staff, great breakfast, located in the centre of town, not too far from Kilkee cliffs.

Coffee machine failed to work for me....

Stayed for one night. Arrived late but staff were very accommodating. Was gone before breakfast but staff had left out fruit and cereal for people leaving early. Would recommend.
