Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Some light came in through the window, better curtains/blinds would have been ideal. Not a huge problem but we did notice the morning light and outdoor lights at night.
Location was amazing and the parking was great. Easily walk into Galway city centre along a lovely canal. Despite being so close to town, the area is nice and residential, so no late night noise or partying. We had a great, spacious room, clean, everything worked, lots of hot water and good water pressure. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, really lovely people. Breakfast was plentiful and good, lots of options and cooked fresh.

We booked at the last minute and the price was very affordable. It is very close to the centre with a nice walk and the train station is only a 20 min walk away. The breakfast is very complete and the staff very friendly. I would definitely go again.

There is nothing that I did not like
The room was perfect for what we needed. The breakfast was average, but the bread available was very well though out with a good variety of options. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the location was great for what we wanted to do during our stay, parking on site was good to have. Definitely will recommend and return again.

Staff at breakfast seemed very young and didn’t have any hospitality skills( similar for whoever communicates through the app). I would expect better from a b and b(eg never asked where are you from, how did you sleep?) It’s nice to have breakfast included and continental buffet was good but the hot food is clearly microwaved.
Free parking, great location(5 minutes walk from the west end) and traditional pub only 30 seconds away.

The B&B is not in the very centre of Galway, but it is definitely close enough. Just a few minutes walk to the Latin Quarter, and a little bit more to Eyre square.
Lovely B&B with an amazing breakfast! The rooms were very clean, I would say cleaner than most other hotels and B&Bs I’ve stayed at. The staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful. They were happy to help us when we needed. As many others have mentioned, the breakfast was incredible. They had toast, bagels, yoghurt, fruit and other cold foods available, and you could order hot foods at no extra cost. I recommend the full Irish or the mini Irish if you want to try a classic Irish breakfast!

wooden floors above our bedroom you can hear every footstep:( was the only thing I could be dissapointed with.
Breakfast had a very good selection, staff were very pleasent and helpful, twin room with comfortable beds, shower with ample hot water, ample room for parking about 6 parking spaces, 5 minute walk to Galway University Hospital, 15 minute walk into Galway city center. Shops, chemist, coffee shop, take-away and sit-in dining, bar & restaurant all within 5 minute walk.

Nowhere to sit other than the bed.
Friendly staff, very clean and good breakfast. Location was perfect, just outside the riff raff, dip in and get out for a quiet sleep.

Very comfortable room and facilities with plenty of space, we where able to check in late at short notice and location was an easy walk away from town centre. The breakfast was delicious, filling and had plenty of options as well.
