The weather was unfortunately awful however Eileen assisted us in drying our clothes as we were so wet! Very much appreciated. There was nothing we didn't like about the lodge though

It was a bit cold at night in the house, but there were blankets as needed. Also, Google maps does not take you to the right place, text Eileen for the eir code. Also, booking.com for some reason takes your credit card, but you need to pay cash. However if you need an ATM there's one only an 8 minute drive away.

Eileen was so welcoming and friendly! And the bathroom was very large and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional. So many menu items to choose from, included with the price. The property itself was beautiful, and the town nearby was so adorable. It was also quite fun chatting with other travelers over breakfast. Extremely high value for the price! And so nearby many tourist places.

that i couldnt stay longer. as soon as i got to dublin I was regretting that i didnt stay longer.

This is why we travel. if youre in search of unique stay that puts you in touch with the local culture and aesthetic, there is no better place. Eileen has created a beautiful space that is nestled in the cradle of Irish authenticity. She is so helpful, even offering to pack me food for my hike up Carrauntoohil. The property is a mere 10min drive to the trailhead if thats your goal. 8 min away is the town of Killorglin. I highly recommend Kingdom 1795 for an out of this world meal. morning jogs in the rural area were so enjoyable, revealing sweeping views of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks. Evenings, when its clear, the stars shine brightly. Highlight though was their sweet dog Gypsy. Wish I could have taken her home as my souvenir.

Eileen is such a lovely and welcoming host, such a wonderful soul. We were welcomed to her place and given all the information we could possibly need to have the best stay possible. The house was very cosy and spotless. The area is so quiet! Our breakfast was gorgeous. Thank you for having us, Eileen!

Breakfast is at one big table with the other guests. We didn't mind, but perhaps other people find this a bit awkward.

Eileen is the best host you could wish for! We stayed for 4 nights which was perfect for the beauty of Kerry. The surroundings are absolutely quiet, except for some bird sounds and cows. The breakfast is also everything you would want. We will definitely come back if we're ever in the surroundings again, and absolutely recommend!
