Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandYou need to pay for luggage storage, pay for every day and hour, not just once of or per week. Most hostels have free or else reasonably priced luggage storage. And despite paying this, they still cannot confirm the safety of your luggage nor accept responsibility for it. some hidden costs such as that. The guy who checked me out was very rude and tried to instantly dismiss me. I had a basic question about luggage storage that I asked nicely. He snapped at me, as if for just asking him something. Ĺ
The member of staff who checked my in was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and the facilities they do have a very good.

United KingdomThe noise levels during the early hours of the morning and late at night were a bit excessive. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep and left me feeling a bit tired during the day… but then again it is a hostel… Additionally, I was disappointed to learn that we weren't allowed to bring any outside food into the hostel. This meant that we couldn't enjoy any late-night fast food after a night out, which was a bit of a bummer. It would have been nice to have the option to bring in some snacks or takeout.
The hostel was super fun! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a lively atmosphere and friendly staff. The bar on site was a huge plus, playing great music and offering a variety of drinks at reasonable prices. We decided to grab some food in the bar area and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

AustriaWhen they say the Hostel doesn't sleep that's what they mean. There's events in the bar downstairs every night (which can be very fun) with a DJ and everything. What that means for everybody else who's not down there partying but trying to sleep - well, it's very noisy. Especially since you absolutely have to leave your window open to let in some air, otherwise you'd probably choke in your room. All in all my stay was pleasant, and the noise is just something to be aware of.
The location is about 20min walk from temple bar (also LUAS Stop right there), so that's a bonus. I stayed in an 8-bed mixed dorm, the room was alright if not a little small. Whenever I went to reception the staff was very friendly and helpful and my checkout at 4 a.m. was no problem since someone is there 24/7.

United States of AmericaStaff was so mean. I work at a hotel both full and part time, and I understand if they are stressed by all the french kids, but Im just one person, I come across nice and i respect staff. But on multiple occasions they just were cold and rude. Tried ordering breakfast and was told i could only get a continental breakfast, but they say they offer a full menu. after a long night of being ill and sleeping 12 hours because of it, i accidentally locked my bag up in my container and was met with a lot of hostility so i just had to be stern and say "okay then how do i fix my situation?".
Location was alright for the price, had to do some heavy walking to get anywhere that offered cafes or shops. but that was about max 15 min

ArgentinaThe music is too loud during the whole day and the rooms whre not that clean. The Ladies Showers were not fully equipped -there is only a hair dryer, for example, and no plugs-.
The staff was super nice and it is a good choice for students and groups. It is not that close from the centre of the city, but is a nice place with restaurants around.

United KingdomThe check in wasn’t ready at 2pm and as I was only staying for a short amount of time, I would’ve preferred to have been able to get to my room and back out to explore Dublin. The bunk bed in down were very low - compared to other Generator hostels, as a 5”5 female, my head touched the above bed frame. The neighbourhood I felt unsafe as a solo traveller - although the main road is well lit, in order to get to the hostel, it is a brief walk down two back streets, before it opens back up into a lit area. I wish I had known before booking
I enjoyed the building - it had many floors but not too broad so you got lost. The bar area was very sociable with events on (not sure if private or for anybody to attend).

IrelandIf noise isn't your thing, then I wouldn't recommend the location.
The location is ideal for access to the city centre, the rooms are nicely laid out, security is strong with the need for keycards and the staff are helpful.

United KingdomI didn’t feel it was clean enough, it wasn’t terrible but I didn’t think the bathroom was very clean and we had a private room with en suite bathroom. I felt that it wasn’t great for the money spent.
The location was good, the property has a nice entertainment area with pool tables and a bar. Easy check in and easy check out. Friendly staff. Electronic lockers to leave your luggage for early arrivers.
