    All was good.

It was in the heart of the city. So close to public transport, walking distance to the train station and opposite the bus station. It is on the Riverside and perfect to access museums.

A lovely 'old fashioned' sort of hotel with a great bar. Room was spacious and well appointed. Parking is across the road but only a short walk to the hotel door. Breakfast was excellent and it's such a nice change to be able to order your hot food rather than a buffet. We were impressed

I have one minor gripe. The coffee/tea could do with more sugar and milk, some of us have very sweet teeth. Other than that every thing was perfect.

The dinner in the bar was excellent, so much better than in other hotels. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good and well presented room. The staff were friendly and and well versed in customer service. We would have no issue with recommending this hotel to anyone.

Main course took a long time to come out although we realise weekend so busier

The food was tasty and main course portion generous. Old world style Hotel with homely ambiance and charm. Friendly welcoming staff especially Erin on reception. Bonus treat in room with free bottles of water, plenty of towels etc. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We were disabled travellers and although the Granville asked if we needed a special items or facilities we were not expecting the loweat toilet seat I have ever seen. Disabled persons tend to need a higher toilet than usual but we managed although with a little difficulty in getting up. Thats the only gripe we had about the hotel.

The Sticky Toffee Puddin desert on one occasion was not quite up to the high standard of the Hotel. We complained and we were fussed over and spoiled.

The Breakfast was made of two parts cold i.e. cereal and Porridge. and a cooked element, it can only be described as Superb. The Room was overlooking the River Suir, lots of interest there, The Waterford City and Country are building a new Foot Bridge across the River right outside the Granville hotel, awesome !. Right beside the River, what could be better.

    Nothing

All the staff were really friendly, and answered all our needs. We arrived late and only just managed to get something to eat before the kitchen closed. The staff took our order, and arranged to serve the food after we had checked into our room. The location of the hotel is great, very central, and we took advantage of the walk with Jack, which was informative. We will certainly be recommending The Granville to anyone who is interested in visiting Waterford

Room was lovely but to warm, no air con, pillows way to hard, bath itself was the smallest bath I ever saw in a hotel, that needs to be sorted, towels were poor quality. My pet peeve is two single beds attached together which is what we had, not very comfortable.

The Staff on reception, especially Fiona and Stacey who chatted to us and made us feel very welcome. Due to my diabetes and the need to rest they facilitated us with an early check in which was greatly appreciated. We had a beautiful meal, compliments to the chef, the three girls who took our order and chatted happily to us were simply brilliant, they also gave us space to enjoy our dinner, so a big thank you to Amber, Amber (yes there were two 😄) and Emer. First class
