Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We loved the beautiful room with its lovely accessories, breakfast was excellent and Therese was a delightful host. Her help with tourist information and recommendations for our short 2 night stay were gratefully received. We followed Therese’s advice and had a great time.

This lovely B&B lived up to its advertised status of a luxury accommodation. Teresa was a friendly, caring hostess. Breakfasts were delicious, recommendations for local restaurants and activities were offered and true concern for a comfortable stay was apparent. My room was spacious, well-appointed, comfortable and quiet.

The Guaire House was quite lovely! We were greeted by Teresa, who aimed to make your stay a delightful one. Breakfast was very good and served in a very lovely dining room. Teresa even sent us the leftover meat and cheeses and advised us where we could find a roll so that we could have a snack as we were starting our day touring. Killarney is a very nice walkable city. The train station was convenient as well as many restaurants and bars. We loved visiting the Ross Castle, which we walked to, but you could consider the horse and carriage as well. In addition, meeting the tour bus to visit the Ring of Kerry was easily accessible. We would recommend staying here.

The property is charming in every way, and Teresa a wonderful hostess. Our room was large and well-appointed, the king bed extremely comfortable, and all the linens are high-end. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The location is ideal, just a short 5-7 minute walk from the heart of town, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Teresa was extremely friendly and always thoughtful. Fresh milk was waiting for us every afternoon for our post-nap coffee, and her recommendations were always spot-on.

Google maps doesn't quite point you to the right area and couldn't get the wifi to work in our room
Hostess was lovely and very helpful. Food was amazing. 10 minute walk to town. Nice and quiet. Room was huge and lovely.

The location was convenient to the adventures we had planned and to downtown. The home was beautiful, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious! We learned so much from the owner, and loved our personable chats. We highly recommend booking a stay at Guaire House.

We loved our stay at Guaire House, Teresa was very welcoming and friendly, she looked after us really well and gave us great tips for our stay. The bedroom was big, lovely and clean and one of the comfiest beds that I have slept in. The breakfast options were great. I'm vegan so I brought my own milk but there was plenty of cereal/toast and fruit for me to eat. My partner loved the cooked breakfast. It's in walking distance to the town centre and national park and plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Killarney.

Everything’s was perfect, a large room, very clean, located close to town but quiet. Very nice owner who gave us lots of good recommendations about the area and restaurants and prepared a delicious breakfast for us.

Lovely clean room, comfortable bed, and peaceful location. Teresa and Jonathan were so welcoming and helpful! The breakfast was excellent, served in the lovely dining room, with table linens, china and silverware, with pleasant background music....very civilized way to start the day!
