눉Most staff were good hostel clean guests nice manager is too rude to work at a hostel made it unbearable for me to stay
눇I booked into kinlay with the intention of looking for work in cork.my original booking was for one week but as I got on well with the other guests in my room I decided to book a second. What a huge mistake. On my first morning I was approached by the manager who started to shout at me interrogating me as to why I am in cork and why I am at the hostel. He was extremely rude and then said that I could only stay for half my booking time and he was going to cancel the rest. Afterwards I was approached by another staff member with some half baked excuse about Irish people basically being theives and this is why they don't want Irish people at the hostel. I am not a their and have never caused any trouble at this hostel. Also that the hostel is just for backpackers despite the fact the majourity of guests were longtermers looking for work!!JOKE.I Asked for a refund and left as I was extremely uncomfertable after this. I have stayed at hostels all over europe and asia and have never been treated in such a way. Dont stay here unless you want to walk on eggshells and be dictated to. Especially if your irish

눉I would pay a bit more for a B & B next time. We were not impressed with the hairs on the sheets (dirty pillow cases) and ground floor location where every movement from the street and rooms above could be heard.
눇I love the Shandon area and the location is handy.
