The only thing that was disappointing was that in the room that I was staying the door would not lock and because of this I could not sleep properly knowing that someone could get in.
The location is great it only 3 mins from the shopping center. The hotel its self is such a great destination and has a great bar and facilities. Would Recommend.

Sometimes felt bar staff were avoiding you, we had a group of 10 and you kinda always had to go and find someone to serve you. Saw a manager spreading them out at one stage.

The food in the bar bistro was very expensive. Went to pubs in town for meals much better value.
The location is central easily walkable around town. They provided a free car space.

The phone did not work and had to be replaced; the TV remote did not work and the batteries had to be replaced; there was no water on my last full day and I had just taken a long sweaty hike so I couldn’t shower until the next day. Athlone municipal H2O supply problem

The shower tray in my room was blocked and filled with water very quickly. Did not affect my enjoyment of my stay. Reported it to reception on checkout so hopefully it will have been rectified for the next visitor.
Loved the extremely comfy beds, and the pillows were so nice too- nice to get a bed that is such good quality!!

The changing facilities in the swimming pool could have been cleaner, but the pool itself was lovely.
The hotel is perfectly situated right in the center of Athlone by the river, everything was super easy to get to by walk.

I didn't get any housekeeping, no clean towels, glasses, or bed made . When we rang down, we were asked yo come and collect towels and stuff . Which we said no please send someone up which they did . The point is I shouldn't have to ring for clean towels and clean glasses and toilet paper. Wasn't impressed 😕

The price wasn't great.

Perfect location in the centre of Athlone. Reception staff were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. My room was fabulous with a view of the River Shannon. The most comfortable bed, pillows and duvet I have ever slept in. We had dinner in the bar/bistro and the food was really good. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely hotel, great attention to detail.

Confusion in relation to the price on checking in. When leaving, I had to get a refund of €81 it had been taken from my card details even though the total price had ben split 7 ways. Only coped the charge by chance. Staff were still confused even though I had explained all on arrival.
