It needs a total revamp. The decor is at least 50 years old and a lot of the fittings look it, especially in the bathrooms. They charge the same amount for rooms as Majestic hotel which has all mod cons plus balconies.

Location is the biggest draw because of its proximity to the beach and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Certainly not a deal breaker for us merely a note for prospective guests there is no lift so be prepared to walk yourself and your luggage up the stairs. However I'm sure assistance could be provided if needed.

Super location, close to variety of dining and pubs. Carparking a short walk to behind the building. Short walk to the boardwalk along the beach. Good beach( judging by the number of people in the water) for surfing if thats your thing. Super helpful and friendly staff in the hotel and attached pub. Thankyou for making our stay a pleasant one.

Charming 'quaint/genuinely retro' hotel So relaxed. Lovely staff. Close to beach and every place in Tramore. Asked for quiet room and so it was. Hope they never modernise. Will be back.

So I knocked a star off this experience due to the bar manager... he refused to make me a cocktail stating that I'd have to wait a few hours until someone else comes in so I had to wait to have a drink.. I don't think this is acceptable.. the cocktail menu had instructions and ingredients on it so it wouldn't have been to hard to read it and follow.. no effort made at all.. I think especially from a manager this is ridiculous.. it prevented us drinking in the bar and having about 50 cocktails which would have easily been 500euro elsewhere! If you want to improve your hotel then making Stephen the bar manager would definitely be the way forward.. he is fantastic and goes the extra mile.. makes a great cocktail and he is so much friendlier than the actual bar manager who quite clearly couldn't wait to finish his shift to have a pint round the other side of the bar which we witnessed! #Stephenformanager!

This hotel is fabulous.. in the heart of everything! The staff are so helpful especially Stephen behind the bar! Nothing is to much to ask for! Breakfast is amazing and the best poached eggs I've ever had! The 2 girls running service were amazing too! The games room is great! Cocktails were amazing.. room was huge and had a lovely view of the sea.. one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been in! Bath in room was huge and comfortable! For the price paid it exceeded all expectations! We will be back!

The room was comfortable but could do with a little tlc. The bathroom is functional but small. The shower took a long time to heat up and never got particularly hot.
