Nothing too dramatic - I would love the minibar in the room to have something inside, it was empty (although the kitchen is open for tea/coffee/water/beverages). Another thing that brothered me a bit is that our room was located near the entrance and the kitchen and it's not sound proof. It was a bit noisy during the day (but very quiet at night)

Magical and romantic atmosphere, great location, beautiful building and well equipped room within an ancient building. The architecture and interior design is amazing. The staff were really nice.

    Nothing to dislike

The hotel is charming, in an historic stone home with a lovely courtyard , orchard and rooftop terrace with a lovely view of the green hills and churches of beautiful Ein Kerem. Nice that there is a spa with intimate hammam and sauna and if you’re staying in the suites, you get lovely fluffy bathrobes and slippers to use. Also nice that they offered complimentary hot vegetable soup and hot drinks on arrival.

Two main things and one smaller one: 1. The bathrooms in the guest rooms have glass walls/glass saloon-style doors. Even though the glass is frosted/colored and in some rooms you can draw curtains around the lower part of the bathroom, it is not completely opaque and there are still gaps below and above the doors, so privacy in the bathroom is not what it should be and too much light and sound get through. Plus glass bathrooms just aren’t in keeping with the pretty Middle Eastern architectural style of the hotel. 2. Too many stairs/too little accessibility, and a real risk of tripping in some places even for the able-bodied. There are stairs and no ramp up to the reception area and very steep stairs and no elevator up to the lovely rooftop terrace. Inside both our rooms the beds were on a platform (a step up) which meant a tripping risk especially at night, and in one room the bathroom was up another step, which was actually dangerous as the step was right outside the bathroom door and if you forget about the step coming out, as we did, the result can be a nasty fall. 3. The smaller matter but still noticeable is that some of the fixtures were a bit shabby and needed repairs. In our rooms a lampshade had a tear in it, a wardrobe was chipped and part of a curtain had come off its rod, for example. Such things should be fixed.

Lovely setting in a beautiful garden, great location in a very pretty area near cafes and restaurants (although you’d be wise to have a car to go sightseeing), very good breakfast in a nice breakfast room, efficient and helpful staff, free tea/coffee in the breakfast room all day as well as coffee facilities and water in the guest rooms, very clean-looking everywhere, big, cosy, well-equipped guest rooms with comfortable beds and very nice Middle Eastern decor with pretty stone arches and niches.

Everything is lovely, but not for all budgets.

This hotel has been our home away from home in Jerusalem for years now, and it never disappoints! It's located in a quiet area, with a public (and free) parking lot just a couple of minutes on foot from the hotel; I'd suggest to have a car, because while there are a few restaurants nearby, if you want to go to Jerusalem city centre it's the best way. A big bonus of this hotel is the garden, an oasis of calm, beautiful in every season. The services and amenities are excellent and the staff goes out of their way to make guests feel home (thank you so much, we really feel part of the Alegra family!). Our favourite room is in the main building, with direct access to the garden (and when possible, the hotel accomodates our special request, like they did this time), but I can assure you that also the rooms in the building right opposite the street have the same beauty, unique style and another little garden (but guests are always welcome to come to the main building to enjoy the garden and the dining room/coffee corner). I highly recommend, at least one morning during your stay, to indulge in the rich, fresh and absolutely delicious breakfast (Israeli, with salad, bread, cheese, eggs, shakshuka... but you'll also find something if you prefer a sweet treat to start your day) - and the dining room is stunning and full of light, too!

The staff went out their way to make sure we were having a good time. The location is at the heart of a beautiful surrounding but if you need the city center you're gonna need a car

The music in the common areas (especially in the garden) was a tad too loud and repetitive.

This hotel was absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed the design, the warm hospitality of the staff, and the amazing garden. The location is excellent, less than a minute walk to nearby restaurants and yet so quite! The view from the rooftop is incredible

    loved everything without exception.

absolutely fantastic and exceptional place. One of the best boutique hotels I have ever visited. The staff of the hotel is kind helpful and I would like to mention especially the reception manager Doodi that was kind and went beyond the call of duty to help us. The rooms are large clean and very very comfortable. Breakfast is freshly laid daily and is exceptional. The area around his quaint and if you need to have breakfast or dinner you can find many nice small restaurants and brasseries.

We had large suitcases… plenty of room to put in suitcases on sofa but no good place to put in bedroom— otherwise excellent facility boutique hotel… private!!

Staff was very accommodating and friendly, birds singing in the trees and pretty courtyard. Felt private and quiet. Beautiful kitchen for morning breakfast… good food… staff prepared omelets and lots of oranges to squeeze for juice and more! Healthy!

The AC unit is not enough powerful for the entire room i occupied. The curtains fall into the bed. The floor is missing more carpets in winter.

The indoors / outdoors complement each other's . The architecture is gorgeous and the quiet location is amazing. The complimentary wine and bathroom products are lovely. The lighting is extremely pleasant. The view is breathtaking.

In booking app the suite details said there is mountains view, we had suite -1 floor the only view we had is the garden, the garden's view are the buildings around. It's too expensive for the value.

The staff is very friendly, respectful and helpful. Breakefast is delicious, the gardens are very beautiful. The rooftop view is amazing. Location is good.
