Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelIt's not enough to tell booking.com that you are bringing a wheelchair. You have to specify "I want an accessible room." The room was dark & small. The huge heavy uncomfortable deck chairs in the room do not fit behind the desk. The bed is too big for the room. It's was not a queen, but 2 twin beds pushed together with an uncomfortable seam in the center. The bathroom has insufficient lighting. The roof deck has insufficient lighting, it's dangerous and the deck was wet, I slipped and fell, but fortunately just skinned my knee, did not file any formal complaint. The pool was inaccessible to me because of noise the first night and kids the next day but that's my weakness, I don't tolerate noise. I did not see a posted pool schedule or time that I could swim laps quietly and the pool itself is very small and mostly for show and cooling off. The conference I attended (at Meitar Law a few blocks from the hotel) had breakfast (again) laid out when I arrived and they left their self service espresso machines out the whole day. They are small relatively inexpensive machines, you can get one or two for the buffet, it would help and might save you time/money during busy times. There is a kumkum/water boiler in the room. It makes about 1 cup each time. There was no table next to the outlet. Keeping a water boiler on the floor (short cord) in a dimly lit room is dangerous, so I used it maybe 2x, then the housekeeping took the cups away and did not put new cups after the first day. So if you're going to take the trouble to give guests coffee and tea bags (I left them there) please give them clean cups and furniture to place the boiler on safely! The switches by the door in 301 don't work. The switches by the desk also do not work. Housekeeping did not replace towels. Windows only open a few centimeters. No parking lot that I saw.
Sheldon: Extremely professional, experienced, knowledgeable. However, he is somewhat defensive whenever asked to do anything he's not expecting. I am the same way. I'm not the manager of a big hotel in downtown Ramat Gan. He did everything I asked and was friendly and helpful, after I talked to him face to face for awhile. The first contact was not welcoming. Daniel: lovely young man, working at the hotel, we had a chat before dawn the second day I was there. The restaurant (not a dining room as Sheldon told me in the first conversation when I checked in) is excellent. I did not order (omlettes) from the menu, the breakfast buffet was the best I've had in any hotel, particularly the pastries, they offered herring, veggie salads, juice & mediterranean foods along with fresh bread. The coffee is included, you have to wait for it. I encourage the restaurant to put a self service coffee machine at the breakfast bar for guests that have early morning business in town and need a shot of espresso before they interact with other people. I asked five times on the second day because I came at 7:30ish am, the first day I was first in at 6:30 am. The breakfast buffet is an optional extra charge, but is worth it, and is open long hours relative to other hotels that offer breakfast. Until 10 when was there. Other guests: were interesting. There was a guy, Chris, who was there when I arrived in a taxi with a lot of luggage the driver could not lift, Chris was right there helping. He turned up again at least 2 more times in 2 days, a high tech guy from NJ. I also observed the following languages in those 2 days: Hebrew, Arabic, English, French, Portugese, Mandarin. Many with laptops and smartphones, it's a hi-tech area. I came for a conference on disability law, so I discovered the hi-tech by accident. It's also next to the Diamond "bursa" so there are a lot of jewelry stores. Israel is one of the top diamond centers of the world.

IsraelThe room was small. The reception was very slow. Buffet breakfast was OK, but dishes ordered from the menu were really disgrace! Bagel with salmon and fried egg was ordered. It was no bagel, but very ordinary bun. The egg was burned from the down and the upper side was completely raw. 5-year old child could make it better. To serve such dish is disrespect to the customer. No selection of tea. Hot water for tea was served in a small coffee cup. The waitress couldn't be more indifferent.
I stayed in this hotel some years ago and my memories turned out to be better than my current impression. The hotel is still very nicely designed. The room seemed to be clean and the bed was comfortable. Good wi-fi.

PolandLack of dish offered in menu to order and lack of tea selection (including basic black and green) were a bit annoying. I lacked a fridge in the room
Buffet breakfast offered wide selection of cheese, fruit and local specialties. There was no meat at all. Fresh and nicely served. The roof terrace was a nice place to unwind in the evening.

IsraelRooms are a bit small. No room service and the minibar was locked and unusable to cool our own drinks. Aside from a few local TV channels most radio and English channels were either locked or not working.
Friendly staff. The receptionist at the front desk made everything possible to give us the correct room we originally booked. Initially the hotel computer mistakendly put us in a standard room with now view. It too a bit of time but the error was rectefied with a smile.
