Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesCleaning department could have done better. Changing sheets daily and providing daily drinking water should be standard operational procedures.
Location is great. Front desk staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed having access to the ymca pool. Free parking was nice as well.

South AfricaThe bathroom could use a few tweaks. The toilet seat was skew, which was a bit uncomfortable, but we had no serious issues.
The hotel was in a fantastic location, just the short walk away from several Old City gates. The staff were great during check in and check out, and they arranged a driver to take us to and from the border, which was very helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and was quiet during the night. It was perfect for what we needed during our stay. We didn't eat breakfast, or use the pool or other facilities, so I can't comment on these.

IsraelAir-conditioning unit was constantly heating the room even when the icon on the display unit suggested it was producing cold air. Even switching it off was not straight forward. The very polite staff could not help (suggested we'd switch off the room's main circuit breaker). There are two TV units in the room we had, but in both of them one popular station was mute and another one was still (no sound or motion). The shower can not be used without a lot of water running onto the bathroom floor.
Excellent location. Wonderful staff. Unique history and architecture. Very comfortable bed.

Israelsupport@reservationstays.comStay away from this hotel, we had a sad and very sad
hotel that only has 1 elevator and a full elevator but it is also only one elevator and it is also very, very old and hardly moves. That is why it is necessary to wait a long time, and unbearable for the elevator. The door of the elevator is the width of a room door, so luggage can hardly enter and the elevator is small, i.e. 3 people do not enter with luggage. Room service is not available. They don't answer at night. And the great shame is that at the reception desk at 12 o'clock at night the clerk is asleep, so he answers the phone, so you have to go down to wake him up, It's very cold in the room and I asked to turn the air conditioner from cool to warm, which is crazy - they told me there was nothing to do as they don't know how to turn cool to warm at the moment. Really hallucinating. New Year is sad here.מעלון קטן ולא מכבדים יהדות

IsraelI have stayed here several times so was really disappointed to see that the terrace and flowers was really quite neglected. Enjoying the terrace which on previous stays was fabulous, is one reason why i choose this hotel. I hope they employ someone to take care if this area.
I love the location of the hotel and it’s old worldly ambience and it is walking distance to everything that i want to visit, the Old City, Mamila, the old railway station .

United KingdomA bit pricey. Israel is pricey. Decided to eat out independently even for breakfast due to the price of their buffet breakfast. Found a great breakfast location close to the hotel to solve this.
Brilliant location. Lovely staff. Israel Museum, Old Jerusalem, key sites close. Arrived home 10 minutes after completing the Rampart walk. Pool, steam room perfect. Exceptional view from Tower.

AustraliaThis is our 5th tour of the Holy Land, this time with a small group of Australian Senior Pastors. They especially appreciated the close location of the hotel to the Jaffa Gate and the Old City, and so too the short walk to Ben Yehuda Street for the abundant choices for their evening meal. The historic building is just gorgeous, and while the rooms are a little tired, they were very clean and tidy. The outside courtyard at the front of the hotel for breakfast, and a relaxed evening drink was a big, big plus. It would be nice if the limited evening menu were extended a little to cater for those weary travelers who don't want to leave the hotel. The large choice at the breakfast buffet was outstanding, and caters for all tastes and dietary needs. All the staff that we had contact with were very helpful and courteous. All in all our 4 night stay at the YMCA 3 Arches Hotel was wonderful. Recommended!!!

United States of AmericaRestaurant really limited to breakfast only. Dinner has only one option, a quiche. Fortunately, short walk is nice mall with many fine restaurants. Exit otherside of mall in front of Jaffa gate.
Though stayed only 1 night, the staff treated me like a relative, very friendly. The bell tower offered a wonderful night time view of Jerusalem, while Sunday morning, the bells played familiar tunes. Room was clean and bed was firm. Slept well. The morning breakfst was fantastic, exceeding in quality many breakfast buffets on cruises. As for location, 15 min walk faces JAFFA entrance to old section. If want exercise room, this hotel has actual full featured YMCA attached. Great facility with large pool.
