Whilst the location is quiet and it only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the fort, I would say you are far from the center and you spend money always ordering Tuk Tuks or walking back and forth.

Helsinki house is a beautifully decorated hotel with incredible rooms that are not only spacious but gorgeous. It has a view of the fort and the food we ordered from the rooftop dinner was some of the best food we have had (the Thali and Palak Paneer especially). The staff was very attentive and helped us a lot, especially all the restaurant staff. The location means that it is a quiet area and you can get a good night of rest in the super comfortable bed provided. The WIFI was one of the best we have experienced in Rajasthan, which is important for us as we also had to work from the hotel.

Breakfast can be done better and staff can be more professionalism. Hygiene ia a factor and don't expect 5 star service. Double check and agree with them before booking taxis, prices, trips and events etc. Surprisingly they don't take card and be ready with cash, shame for international travellers and bit dodgy. There was always a bad smell of sock on the corridors, which can be rectified and some music at reception would do wonders. Their Camp was great and beautifully done, it would be good if they provide a itenery for guest's about the event and offer some trips and things to see around. Hope they implements these positive feedback to make it better.

Room was great and spacious, although view was not good. Maaru the owner and his brother are great guys and helped during the trip and we also booked their own Helsinki Camp , which was really great for couple and families. We wish them all the best for the hardworking family. The view from the terrace ia amazing , quite place and still 10 mins walk to the fort. Jaisalmer is great city and very clean.

A little bit far from the city Fort (15 minutes tops), but very easy to walk there or take a tuk-tuk.

Huge and cozy room with all the facilities. The managers were very nice and helped us in everything we needed. Great views of Jaisalmer Fort from the terrace. This is a great hotel!

The rooftop restaurant looked a little neglected and could be cleaner and more hygienic.

Very helpful and friendy staff, they gave us some space to change and freshen up even after checking out because we had a bus in the evening. Location is close to the Jaisalmer Fort and the Gadisar lake. Overall good value stay.

I had to ask for housekeeping to be done on a daily basis. The rooms were not cleaned properly - dirty towels left next to clean towels. Water wasn’t replaced unless asked. desert safari booked through the hotel was a slight disappointment. constant pestering for money/ bakhshish on camel ride spoiled the mood.

Hot water in the shower was a problem.

Reasonable price. Peaceful place. Watch the stars from the terrace. Staff are helpful. Ask them to book autos for you. Don't use cabs.

Beautiful ethnic rooms. Really liked the cosy atmosphere, and Maru is a wonderful host. The hotel is close to the fort, so good accessibility.

Is next to a cow shelter so views in 1st floor was not good...can do with a little mote staff at the kitchen though all of them are very helpful and courteous.

The rooms were spacious and done up very well. The roof top restaurant has fab views and the food is quite nice. The staff is very helpful esp Mr Maru and also the restaurant staff

We had a very pleasant stay with Helsinki. We were upgraded to a deluxe room free of cost. Maru Helsinki is a good host and very helpful. He made sure we had a comfortable stay throughout. Rooms, staff and food were good. The ambience of the hotel is of traditional Rajasthan. We enjoyed the desert camp arranged by this hotel and our driver Irfan was a nice guy. Will recommend to visit once more.

The communication right from the booking till arrival at hotel is appreciated. The room was clean and hotel is located closer to the railway station. The staff were also helpful and the beds were really comfortable to crash.
