The property is 5 star and service and food is generally 2 star- it feels like one has walked into a 2-star hotel compared to other 5 star properties. Staff is generally nice but not trained in service and how to interact with customers. Food was sub-par, both at the restaurant and breakfast- felt like a street side breakfast- almost stale for the most part. Coffee machine was broken one day, no sense of tracking customer orders for the omelette station etc.

Property location is great, beach is nice and clean with a life guard. Water sports activities are provided by the resort, and locals also provide kayaking. Golf course was in ok condition for an executive course- golf course staff was helpful. The property is old but tasteful. As many have said, it is in need of some upgrades- we value the old time charm and design with wide corridors - trees and plants all around.

Beds are very uncomfortable. Mattresses are of poor quality and very squeaky. We cannot have a comfortable sleep and had back ache.

Property is big and well maintained. Facilities are nice and best part is it’s private beach area.

price of food and in house eatery options, its very expensive to avail the services, cadbury silk chocolate which cost 100 outside cost it 300 excluding taxes(28%).

Lalit as always never disappoints, it is huge in scale in all sense, the rooms and surroundings are lavish with lots of lush greenery. we loved the breakfast because it had lots of options.

Lot of things 1- The power sockets in the room were very old, it was very difficult to charge multiple devices at once. 2- The minibar wasn't cooling when I reached. I had to complain 6-7 times before it started working after 24 hours. 3- The bed back of one of the beds fell with a big bang while we were slppeong at night. Called to complain at the reception, no one picked the call. In the morning when I complained they said- they will look into it.

It is vlear that the hotel has been very grand....in the 1980s! It needs a huge overall as it is looking very tired in terms of decoration, furnishings and maintenance. My partner got a small electric shock when he plugged his phone charger in! The socket fell off the wall when we unplugged the iron! It is missing the finer details for me as a 5 star hotel. Had to ask for an iron/ironing board. I must stress that all the staff are excellent. Unfortunately, the pool is full of bird poop due to the enormous amount of birds flying overhead. The cushions in the pool area are also dirty, need replacing and sunbeds/outdoor furniture has bird poop on. This isn't acceptable for a supposed 5 star hotel and needs addressing as a health and safety concern.

The rooms are huge. Great separate shower and bath. Rooms were clean. Air con works and spacious balcony. Robes and water are provided. Good breakfast spread. All the staff from reception, security and restaurant and pool staff were wonderful.

The food did not accommodate English people. Went to the tia restaurant food so spicy who left it after one mouthful. Still had to pay over 4500.00 rupees. That’s awful. Next day had kebab downstairs agin far too spicy. I am Indian eat lots of spice but that was awful. Again paid for good not eaten. The staff don’t listen and do not come back when asked for something. Not happy with food at all

The Tv remote needs maintenance and the cable package needs to be updated.Room lighting needs improvement.

The resort is right next to the beautiful beach which is excellent. The breakfast was nice and elaborate.The room size was big enough for me and my family of four.The archery activity and sports activity were good.The swimming pool is decent and so also the large gardens spaces.Room service was excellent and speedy.Staff were courteous.

some of their staff were terrible at responding back to requests. you would call and leave a message or query and they would not get back to u and if u were keen u could sort it out yourself or u had to follow up repeatedly. the rooms were seriously outdated and while it had everything, it was very old and fallen into disrepair. the light switches were either broken or would not work, you needed herculean strength to be able to successfully flush the toilet, the grout in the bath room was mouldy and gross, half the lamps did not work and the bulbs needed to be adjusted before they would function, the fan regulator needed to be turned off and on with pliers to work and there were many many clothes moths on the wall! also the air conditioning was substandard at best and when we called the maintenance guy, all he did was argue and refused to fix the ac or even clean the filter. he kept saying it has been recently cleaned. when we forced him to remove it, it had an inch thick coating of dust on it. also not bathrobes in the room which i had expected. another big issue was that the description mentions airport shuttle which they do not provide and when this was clarified with akaash the other duty mgr, he was unbothered and didn’t care to respond back.

the property itself is stunningly beautiful and access to the near private beach makes it even more amazing. some of their staff like duty manager suman and kajal - at the restaurant, went above and beyond for their guests. really made it comfortable and accessible(as i had gone with a broken foot). the room size was great and lot of fun activities for the families and to keep them engaged food was also pretty decent at breakfast but the vibe and setting at their beach side shack style restaurant cortas, was pretty amazing! the food at cortas was quite good too although limited in variety.

Very poor welcome at the ambience.We entered and noone was there to even offer us a glass of water.After waiting for almost 5-7 mins , i had to myself tell the receptionists to do the documentation and let us in.We were given suite with garden view , in the pic it showed two twin beds which looked like sufficient for 2 people each but when we entered the room it was joined into one bed.Later on enquiring the reception they said that it was single bed only in the pic.This is like deception which such a reputed resort shud avoid.Finally i had to request one extra bed on payment.

Everything was good.

The breakfast had lot of options. Swimming pool was clean. There was a kids play area too, which kept our little one busy. It is beach touch property, so we could enjoy some time at the beach as well.

They need to upgrade few things considering they are calling it luxury like they have almost 20 yr old tv
