눉My discontentment with this hotel is not so much due to their staff, or the hotel facilities but more so on some of their policies: 1. Internet was not free. Having stayed in many luxury hotels in different parts of the world, and taking into account that the hotel is expensive, I find it unacceptable that we have to pay for internet. While the hotel manager had graciously given us free coupons upon my complaint, it is felt that they should provide free internet to all patrons. 2. They imposed a food tax which was not apparent during the booking process. There should be no hidden cost or 'surprises' for the guests. 3. We have tasted far tastier food in lower ranked hotels in Chennai. While the service that we received in Spectra was impeccable, I would like to suggest that the food served for breakfast is infused with more South Indian spices. At the moment, the South Indian delicacies are pleasing to the eye but is rather bland. I guess this has got to do with trying to accommodate the Western guests. I am confident that the chef is well able to find a balance. After all, a vast majority of us head to Chennai for its amazing food and coffee. 4. The swimming pool needs more shade, and perhaps a good scrubbing. It looks lovely at night, but can do better.
눇The hotel interior was amazing, we loved the decor. All their staff did the very best to accommodate all our concerns. We sincerely appreciate their attentiveness, and their readiness to address our requests.

눉When you enter restaurant to dine and ask food from other restaurant, is nothing wrong to pamper the guest without standing on technicalities. It is a private own property if I am asking chinese item in Indian restaurant which I want to eat with chapati(Indian bread) what is wrong. Of course I got it after somebody intervened ...which can be avoided in future. Your job is to pamper the guest. Please dont tell rules and regulations.
눇Warm reception with a typical Indian namaskaram but little missing element is a glass of water or a cup of tea which is culture of Indian welcoming system. A person coming after a hectic travel with a lot of mundane jorgans expects a small pampering when you enter a home away home. Of course wife can not give water but Leela palace should give water.
