Everything was exceptional - fans on the verandah would enhance the experience ( due to Kolkata heat ) however, not sure if this is possible with Heritage limitations.

Located in a quiet Street within a short walking distance to Park Street. The presentation of the property is of the highest standard ( don’t be alarmed by the ground level entry ). The room was large and comfortably furnished including the largest bed we slept in while in India. The verandah is a nice place to spend time late in the afternoon. Breakfast was outstanding over our seven day stay - both the quality and quantity with both continental and Indian styles offered. The staff were exceptional, particularly the night Security Guard, the Chef, and the Head of Housekeeping, who would greet us with a smile every morning.

Nothing much at all! Possibly a bit of new grouting around the bottom edges of the shower.

Elegant and peaceful residence. Mrs Khuller and the staff were most hospitable and very accomodating! Breakfast and early check-in on our first day; extended late check-out on our last. Delicious made to order breakfasts daily! We last stayed in 2018; if it wasn't for Covid, we would've been back sooner. We had a wonderful leisurely week at The Harrington this time- love Kolkata! Certainly pays to book early to lock in a longer period of stay!!!! Uber made travelling around the city that much easier! We'll be back.

It would have been good to have independent access to the property (such as keycard or pincode) instead of having to disturb staff every time.

The location was fantastic, in a well known street but tucked away and quiet even though so close to Park Street. Beds and facilities were comfortable and everything was as described. The room was huge and then the verandah was yet another place to relax. Tea and coffee making facilities and minibar and unlimited bottled water was such a bonus. Dipankar looked after us very well and was most helpful and kind. The cook made fantastic breakfasts.

Everything was just perfect. I would recommend anyone wo is travelig to Kolkata and is looking for 2-3 days stay or even more, must stay here. It is one of the best places I have stayed in the world, And I have traveled a lot... So do check it out when you are in Kolkata

The elevator urgently needs maintenance. It is an old rickety elevator with collapsible gates. While coming down, it starts off with a jerk and can be unnerving if you're getting on for the first time. Thereafter, you can brace yourself. Also, observed on the first floor, there is a dysfunctional elevator Shaft which is not closed off and has a gaping hole. That can be risky especially with unsupervised kids and pets. What is even more concerning is that the corresponding area in the ground floor is walled up and closed. Having said that, this elevator is a common facility in the building and is not the sole responsibility of this property alone. There is an office next to the property in the 2nd Floor which has an office on the 3rd Floor as well. The staff on the third floor have an annoying habit of not closing the gates properly which renders the elevator inaccessible to other users. Again, this is not an issue with the property and it's staff, but a general feedback. The quality of the plugs inside the rooms in the property could be made more user friendly - that is the only niggling issue I faced during the course of my stay.

Excellent, spacious and maintained rooms. Comfy and spacious bed - is good enough for 2 adults and 2 kids provided 1 kid is below age 6. Caretakers are very well behaved and helpful. The in house cook is excellent. One of the best cheese omelettes and gas grilled veg sandwich I have had for a while. Items can be prepared on demand as well. We asked for local paratha and aloo Sabri combo being born and brought up in Kolkata, it was very good as well. Soft Parathas and balanced Sabji. Prime location and very secure. You have security round the clock, given the proximity to the US Consulate. Park Street, Vardhan Market, and all major hubs are at a walking distance. Needless to say, full of options to eat nearby including street food and fine dining. Mrs. Khullar is an extremely gracious host. Special mention to Dibakar. All in all, a memorable stay and as per unanimous feedback from family, definitely now our preferred place of stay in Kolkata.

The windows are incredibly thin and have zero soundproofing. It's fine as long as the street is quiet however I was awoken a couple of times by dogs barking in the middle of the night. The building is quite old and the elevator is a bit janky (this is fine for most people, but maybe not if you need mobility assistance). Overall not dealbreakers, but something to be aware.

The rooms are large and spacious, bathroom is well appointed. The staff are really friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is very central, but also very quiet reprieve from the cacophony of honking in Kolkata. Despite this it does not feel unsafe as the US embassy is nearby so there is a strong police presence on the streets. The colonial architecture has been maintained, and there is a nice balcony outside to sip a coffee and relax in the morning. There is also a mini art gallery attached.

The entrance to the hotel is a little tricky as there's not much signage. But just ask someone nearby & they'll direct you into the old fashioned lift to the 2nd floor where you enter an art gallery through to the hotel.

It's a beautifully kept heritage hotel. Love the spacious room, Mini bar.& great breakfasts served by cheery staff. It's in an excellent location to popular Park St.

Signage to entrance could be clearer. Is on second floor . Access by small lift or stairs. Easier to use stairs.
