Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkNot the hotels fault but there is a lot of construction next door. We didn't know it was a staff free hotel so the front door and rooms are all done with codes so we had to search for emails before getting inside.
The breakfast was good and the location was great for exploring the city on foot, We did have a car and luckily managed to get a spot right outside the hotel.

NetherlandsIt's very close to the city centre, but on winter nights, walking 1.2 km in the wind, cold, and snow can be uncomfortable. I made a special request for extra pillows days in advance, but they didn't register my request.
The self-check-in system works perfectly, and the free parking spots nearby are very convenient. The room was comfortable, but although the bathroom was clean, it was not as beautiful as other hotels we've stayed in in Iceland. Notherlights tour picks up from the hotel location. There is a pricy but delicious restaurant downstairs, and there is no need to go out to eat if you are tired.

United KingdomNot being able to get a decent drink albeit alcoholic or non alcoholic at the end of the day from long excursions due to there not being a lounge area, I personally don't drink coffee which was all there was at the reception area, the coffee machine only dispensed black coffee although there were other selections on the machine they didn't work, and the restaurant kitchen shut at 9pm
The restaurant, food was first class

United KingdomThe bathroom was dated and parts of it broken. Next door there was construction happening (no fault of the hotel) which woke us up and the rooms were very light which didn’t bother me as a heavy sleeper but kept my partner awake
Comfy beds and a big room. Breakfast was good and easily accessible. Nice and close to the centre of the city. Would definitely stay here again and was good for our budget

United KingdomThe hotel operated a person-less check in, where room locks auto- released on a timer. There was a problem with communication so one of the two room numbers we were sent was subsequently changed but we didn’t spot the second email, and it erroneously cited all 3 room numbers. On arrival at the (cancelled) room we obviously couldn’t get in and set off an alarm trying. Another family were having the same problem and it was clearly quite stressful for them as they were a large group with young children. There was a phone number to call with any problems and this was well advertised within communal areas. Once we had gained entry the 2 rooms were adjacent (we had requested nearby so this was excellent) and we had no further issues.
Very clean and comfortable, and only a 10 minute walk to Reykjavik’s main shopping street. Easy to explore the city from the hotel. Perfect for our requirements. We had dinner literally around the corner from the hotel entrance at a delightful restaurant- warm, cosy and relaxed with really attentive friendly staff. The food was exceptional. The next morning it turned out to our surprise this was actually the hotel breakfast room, but it was unclear if it was the same business running it.

United KingdomWould have liked tea/coffee in room - the machine door stairs didn’t have everything working and there was no tea option. Would be nice to have in the room after a cold day outside. Breakfast - only toast/rolls - maybe a better variety of pastries would be good.
Very clean and comfortable

GermanyThe breakfast choices were very limited. It was near to a construction works and after 7:30 am it was impossible to sleep from the noices of the cranes and machines.
Everything was automatic and we never meet someone at the reception. I called a number of the hotel sbd I was connected with a call center which they assisted us. They gave us the code of the room to open the door and everything went very smooth.

United KingdomNothing, the parking can be tricky but we found free parking near the hotel both times we moved the car.
Easy booking and good communication. Super easy self check in. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Not a car walk to city centre at all. Breakfast was very good with a good selection.

United KingdomNothing to dislike. If you’re looking for the Ritz don’t stay here. If you’re on a budget then it’s fine.
Cheap & cheerful. Reykjavik is expensive. Stayed here for 1 night before heading on. Served a purpose. Parked outside for free.

United KingdomThe breakfast coffee was not as good as the coffee machine in the reception! But the breakfast was very nice and tasty!!
We liked the digital check in (once we got the hang of it!!), And the coffee, hot drinks in the reception. The breakfast was continental and great, really tasty. The room was clean and warm and comfy, and most things were walkable from the hotel in the centre of Reykjavik..we had a hire car for things a little further afield like the sky lagoon, the perlan experience, the parks etc
