Drive way could do with relaying although we stopped there in really bad weather conditions because there was a massive dip we ended up damaging our car trying to pull off the drive.

Loved our stay even in the middle of winter, the place was cosy and peaceful. Staff were amazing we will be back

The drive to get to the town is lovely along the fjord. A great place to see the northern lights especially at this time of year (late October when they are low on the northern horizon.) we only spent a night arriving in the dark and leaving in the dark but the town felt fairly basic but the bungalow was clean tidy. Found a used towel in the closet. Electricity did turned off once after turning on the microwave. We expected sofa bed but instead we got a double bed built above the kitchen table (a loft). That was a bit weird. A bit too small for 4 grownups.

When we arrived the heating was already turned on it was nice to step in in the warm house. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Good place to stay overnight.

It is a wonder place. The settlement, Ólafsfjörður, is an amazingly located alone, but the small wooden houses add to the experience. It was everything and even more. The hot tub is a must!

Very nice village. The house has a very good hot tub, you can fill it yourself. We asked the landlord to prefill it and it was good. After long drive we had a good time in it. Nice houseI think we were only missing cutting board.

There is no signage for this place, we almost went and knocked on private property in the same parking lot thinking the owner might be there. Ended up going to the hotel across the street, which we were very hesitant to do, "we aren't staying with you, but can you tell us where this place is" Well, low and behold, that is where you check in, we have been in the middle of changing things over. Signage should be the first thing. Also, put individual instructions for each different cabins spa. The manager had to come over, then told us the manual is not correct for our cabin, they are all different. It's the little things that will make a difference.

We loved this cabin. I would have liked it to have one bed instead of two twins, but it was just one night. The kitchen has anything you could need, the bathroom was very clean. We did use the hot tub, it was very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. They just need to work out a couple of things.

Convenient location. Facilities are on the older side comparing to other places we stayed in Iceland. But everything is clean and well functioning. Cabin is small for family of 4.

The location is wonderful, next to a lake between the mountains. However, as it is a small village, it is quite remote so it really depends what you are looking for.

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 adults and 1 baby. A baby bed and high chair was provided by the hotel next to the cabins. The cabin is made entirely out of wood, this is very cosy. Hot tub is very nice to relax. You can use all the facilities of the hotel for free (laundry room with washer & dryer, lounge area, coffee, kayak,...)

It was really tight for 4 people. The ladder going up to the bed in the small mezzanine sleeping area will hurt your feet. No room to leave luggage anywhere.

Nice little cabins right by the lake! Pretty cool for bird watchers.
