Hot pot in room would have been nice. Also, maybe set down some sand in icy parking lot for guests.

Piped music! Why? Is this for the staff or guests? Bland international pop does the place no favours.

Location is amazing. Great staff, good food - with some outstanding dishes (shellfish soup sensational), fab breakfast buffet. Very comfortable beds.

If there were room for improvement it would be the inclusion of a coffee machine or a kettle in the room

This is my favourite hotel in Iceland, great service, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and in the most amazing location.

I requested a master bed but didn't get a room with a master bed. So my room had two beds put together ...

Room was excellent, location is remote and perfect for whom are looking to be outside the crowd. The restaurant is fantastic, both dinner and breakfast. Surroundings ar really pretty and many paths around to walk and enjoy the power and the beautiful nature of Snæfellsnes.

Parking is very limited for such a big place. We had to get very creative with our parking space.

This hotel has an old-school charm with modern amenities. It’s very cozy and quaint while serving a large amount of rooms. The staff was kind and attentive. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Plus, their New Years Eve celebrations were so delightful. We loved staying here!

The dining room was very large but we had all been set up in one half of it so we were quite close to one another and could hear louder groups conversations very clearly. If the space is there would have been nice to be spread out a bit more. Wish the fire was a bit more central to the seating areas, would be nice to sit in front of it except where it was placed if anyone walked through the main door a cold rush of air would hit you.

Lovely cosy hotel with a gorgeous drive to get there. Surrounded by water and mountains with a nice walk down to the beach, past the church if you want to. Amazing sunrise in the morning. Room was nice and spacious, the building is quite dated but it adds to the charm plus I could see they are doing renovations. Nice couches and cosy corners near the bar to cuddle up and read or chat over a glass of wine. Dinner was lovely and breakfast had a nice spread.

The property was absolutely stunning. A beautifully appointed hotel and spectacular staff. I was given a free upgrade to a deluxe room and could not have been happier. I came for my birthday and the chef even made me a special breakfast just to celebrate. Amazing experience all around and they even do a northern lights wake up. I highly recommend this place and look forward to the day I can come back.

    Nothing!

The location is amazing. The hotel here and the black church are really the only buildings in the area. We were visiting for our wedding/honeymoon. We had a larger room with a sitting area that was perfect for the two nights we stayed. Having the bedroom separate made it easier for us to get ready for the day and having the couch was great to be able to sit and relax like you would at home. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious (love the tub). The attached restaurant is excellent, we had breakfast and dinner both of the days we stayed. The views from the lobby are gorgeous. There are multiple sitting areas and the building, while new, has an antique vibe, with books, seating areas, fireplaces, etc. It was thankfully mid-week and not terribly crowded so it was lovely to be able to have a cup of coffee and relax and enjoy the views. The staff were thoughtful and amazing throughout our stay, congratulating us and surprising us with bubbly more than once. They took great care of us and I will definitely stay again when we visit this area.

We had a room that you had to walk across the roof on the third floor and it was a very windy night. So it wasn't very fun to have to walk back and forth to check in and for dinner. Otherwise it was perfect!

Very remote location, the hotel was perfect. The staff was very courteous and we enjoyed the areas to relax around the lobby. Very beautiful hotel. Excellent food.

Really wish there were more channels on tv, or a Smart tv so we could log into our accounts to unwind at the end of the day.

Everything about our stay at hotel budir was amazing. It was worth every penny to stay for our time at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. They provide the charming European countryside feel in a luxurious, relaxing way. The bar and restaurant were incredible. I think my favorite part was how comfortable the room and numerous lounge areas were with the most incredible views of the coast and mountains. The staff were all incredibly friendly and our time here was very special.

I can't think of anything, maybe the price level is a little higher.

The hotel was very well equipped and clean. The hotel staff was helpful and the breakfast was very tasty. But the best thing about the whole hotel is its location on the edge of the lava field next to the iconic black church. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was also excellent.

With these great views also came the tourists with cameras and drones to stand in front of the windows and enjoy the view as well. It’s very distracting and happens at all hours and people don’t seem to know your trying to sleep… Also the food was very overpriced even for Iceland. Dinner was good while we opted not to do the breakfast buffet as it was the usual Iceland fair of bad coffee, canned beans, hard boiled eggs and bread. Cold cuts are also on the meal for every breakfast if you like that sort of thing.

We were lucky to get a bottom floor deluxe room with great views of the waterfalls and inlet.
