Great location, easy to find, close to lake and Myvatn geothermal baths. Cottages have well equipped common kitchen, room is warm and cozy. Owners are very nice and welcoming, and we loved the 2 extremely friendly dogs on-site

The shared rooms aren’t great for privacy as they aren’t very soundproof. I could hear the person snoring in the next room very clearly. A cottage would be better for noise.

A cosy and warm room - the location was excellent for our travels around the area. In hindsight we should have booked one of the individual cottages so as to have more space. The breakfast was excellent and the facilities in the shared kitchen area were really good.

Beautiful location, a bit remote. Good room with bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Also, due to not a lot of lights in the area, we saw the northern lights outside of our room.

The room is a bit small and the size of the beds are small.

Well equipped kitchen with over, stoves and coffee machine with coffee provided, kinds of seasons and Microwave oven and Electric kettle. They also provide washing machine and dryer with laundry detergent. And location is great. I can see a volcano just from my window and it is very close to Dimmuborgir and Mývatn natural bath.

On the second day of our trip to Iceland, we had an accident and our 11 years old son got in Reykjavik hospital with a facial fracture. We could not travel north and I notified the guesthouse office very last minute. They were simply amazing and cancelled our non-refundable booking. So caring and understanding. Also, upfront communication was really good to ensure the facilities meet expectations. As you understand, we did not stay at the hotel, but we really hope to travel there in the nearest future to experience the facilities and meet their friendly and welcoming team.

The kitchen is very small, although does have everything you need.

Great location, actually within the Dimmuborgir lava field. We were the only people there (off season) and were treated to awesome northern lights views. Cosy cabin.

I arrived late at night in a snowstorm, hoping to be able to buy some sort of snack or dinner on site. Unfortunately, while there is a communal kitchen and while breakfast is available for an extra fee, there was no evening food option on site.

Lovely little cottage right in the middle of the Myvatn region. Two very friendly dogs on site to welcome you on arrival.

I just felt like it is not as good value for money. I have had better establishments in Iceland for the same price, but it's the only place I have been to in the Myavatn area so I have no baseline for comparison in the area.

I didn't realize before we got there but they also have some adorable looking Cottages that I would have loved to stay at. Anyway, we got a room with private bathroom, it was small but comfortable. The place is in the middle of nowhere, so its dark and the perfect setting to watch the Aurora. Also super close (driving) to the thermal baths, lava fields, and many other awesome things to do in this area. Should I be back in Iceland, I will 100000% stay here again.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake, staff and animals where very friendly. We booked a private room with shared kitchen which was nice and cosy. Had a great clear night to watch the Aurora too!
