Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was a very modern and comfortable hotel. It was a short walk to everything in Husavik and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice.

The breakfast wasn't great - congealed eggs and not many options.
Nice, smart hotel in a good location, close to various restaurants (although most of these were closed on a Wednesday in November!) and the GeoSea thermal lagoon. It was cheaper than most places we stayed and very good for the price (we paid 146€ for the night).

Very nice, fancy décor, modern feel to the lobby. Rooms were what you expect from a hotel. Had a kettle in the room which was nice. Breakfast was great, many options, lots of seating. Location was convenient as it was right in town and walking distance to things. Parking was convenient.

five minute walk to whale watching center, which is what my son and I came into town for comfortable hotel. plenty of parking. breakfast was good with many options 5 min drive to horseback riding

There was a bad smell in the bathroom. Since I was just staying there for 12 hours I didn't complain about it. And the refrigerator was so loud. I have been to many hotels, but I have never heard this before. But like a say, it's a nice hotel. I probably just got un lucky with a room.

The restaurant was like eating in a banquet facility. No coffee available except in the restaurant. Just a few things you would expect in a hotel.

there was a conference and so the restaurant was unavailable to us. we were told of two other place we could eat, one was fully booked and the other I refused to pay as the meal was dreadfull. It only takes an email before to state that the in hotel catering was unavailable and we would have made other arrangements beforehand. After a long day and drive it was the last thing we wanted to hear.

The soap-reservoir of the wash-basin/sink in the bathroom was empty, but there is another one in the shower and this is only a minor thing.
The room is not the biggest but offers all comfort and is clean. Breakfast is also very good. There is not a lot of parking-space in front of the hotel, but there is enough in the back.

My room was in front of the bus parking. While not a major nuisance, the engine roar was evident. Breakfast may need improvement. Eggs are tasteless. A little below expectation for a nice modern hotel.
Nice, modern hotel. With all the facilities you may find in a small town in North Iceland. Confy bed and pillows. Nice bathroom. Walking distance to all facilities in Husavik.

We were in the older section of the building so the room felt a little worn. The stairwells leading to the outside had quite a bit of construction debris.
Great location and the breakfast was good. We opted to have a bottle of wine and snacks in room - nice set up but the fruit on the tray was wilting so not sure when it was placed in the room.

it was very noisy outside, i think we stayed directly above the technical room with fans running the whole night!! Even closing the window did not solve the noise issue.
bathroom floor was heated, i liked that very much. the food was good too, breakfast had soo many options :)
