Short stay to catch early flight. Stay was nothing special but served it’s purpose

I like the whole concept - little lovely private houses as a room to stay. Shared kitchen and bathrooms, all very well equipped and clean. Comfortable to use. The place is located near airport, which was the main reason we chose this place. It was clear that for others it was the same. At 8.30 in the morning all the cars had left already and we had a nice private breakfast :) They had a hot pool as well but not in use. Maybe it's used in a summertime? Would have loved to have a nice morning dip there but they have a collaboration with local pool for their guests instead. We didn't have the extra time to go there, would have enjoyed the quick dip in the premises.

The kitchen is in a separate building. No coffee/tea maker in the room. One has to go to the kitchen to get water.

The location is good, very close to the airport. We had an earlier fight, so this place serves the purpose. Also the shared kitchen has everything one needed to make a simple meal.

Does cost 25-30 pounds from airport to cottage despite only 10 minute drive.

Great small cottage, warm with heater, short walk to communal showers/toilet. Great kitchen with spices, oil etc to help cook your own meal. Very tidy.

The taxi driver had a hard time finding it. I would recommend not to take this place past a certain time at night and with a family. It is very stressful not to find it even with a driver who speaks Icelandic. Took us some up to 20 mns to find it after 1:30 am. I would recommend checking with the taxi dispatcher of KEF Airport to ensure the driver knows where they are going before getting on taxi. Other than this inconvenience, it is an excellent place to stay. Next time , I will know exactly where it is.

The place is awesome, I wish we had more time to enjoy it more. The owner was very kind to take 2 calls as we had a hard time finding the place. It had snowed, so this made it more challenging to find it, and GPS was not very helpful either. Navigator may send you to Camping place, which is right next door to "iStay Cottages". On a clearer day, you should see it if you stand on the camping place parking area. Drive up the road ( street address) and take a left. You will then see the sign I Stay ( may need to be iluminated during the night or inclement weather for easy spotting).

Sandgeroi is a sleepy residential/industrial village with not a lot to do in the evenings other than watch the stars (which worked well for us so not a problem)

WiFi signal in the cottage was not strong enough. We were too early, they were still working on the hot tubs.....

Great location, close to the airport without any noise. Even got to see the Northern lights. Super comfy beds. Community kitchen was very well stocked and clean. Great bathroom. Super easy Check in.

The internet connection was super poor so Netflix wasn’t usable I struggled to find the location so clearer directions while the road is closed would be helpful
