We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

It was the cleanest place I've ever stayed. The linens were top notch. The shower with its amazing pure water was so relaxing. All these things together allowed me the best night of sleep I've had in years, if not ever.

I was anxious about what our experience would be based on the reviews I had read but given there was but the hotel exceeded our expectations ( travelling with my husband) spotlessly clean, basic but everything you needed was available including a fridge and T&C making facilities . Quiet at night and in an excellent location. you don’t see much of the staff but they are pleasant when you do. check in is a little odd but efficient . the cost was relative to all other hotels in the area - all of Iceland is expensive !

United States of AmericaPoor directions that they had no staff on property. A guest informed us that you called to get a code to enter your room. I thought the room wa reserved on Booking . Com. I went to my computer and made a reservation with Booking .com. I then called the number with my confirmation number and was treated like Inwas cheating. Was totally confused, but gained access to our room. We both wanted to take a shower tonight and again in the morning. The shower had no shampoo, body soap or conditioner, no bath mat on the tile floor or extra towels to use on floor. When I called to get towels etc she was quite annoyed and claimed I was someone evil person stealing from her. I was angered by her behavior when a man showed up from her staff who was unable to understand what we were asking about Towels. Oh we never got anything we asked for so delayed our towels and my wet towel was used before JoAnn shower. The experience was unbelievable

North Star hotel was better than we have expected reading from the reviews. It was self check in and was very easy. Rooms were good space, requested an extra bed and we received it. The bathroom/shower is clean in the rooms, just annoying after shower as the water goes everywhere, but that’s expected, must be an Iceland thing bc that’s how our bathroom/showers are also set up in my country. The hotel is in a small town so there was 2 restaurants nearby, so is a gas station/mini mart that was walkable. The hotel came with free breakfast which was a treat that we didn’t expect. So definitely happy about that. There is a nearby town, waterfalls nearby and their own rainbow road which was cool. Playground was also walkable so it was nice for the kids. This was a nice place to stay and would definitely recommend!

ThailandHallway and room smelled heavily like fish. The room is as bare bones and basic as it could be. Beds aren’t comfortable. The breakfast was mediocre at best, next to no options that can’t be easily picked up at a gas station. Really did not like anything about the stay.
It was a place to sleep and a place to shower (that you had to work for by squeegeeing the floor so it didn’t spill into your room).

We had to drive 45 min away in the rainy dark through pitch black mountains to get to a chain hotel that had a single room open. The worst customer service possible short of stabbing us.
