I had a lovely large room on the 7th floor with a fantastic view of the bay and the snow-covered mountains across the bay.

Breakfast was ok and bad coffee at breakfast . Lucky us we had a coffee make in the room.

We liked the night of 19-20. of April so much we rebooked. The view was amazing.

We had a car and be aware that the hotel doesn't have a spot for temporary parking: the street is a narrow one way so downloading and loading has been a nightmare. Personnel at the desk not eager to help. We asked for some info about reaching blue lagoon and/or the active volcano and answer was apparently 'what you want?'. Asking about an info office resulted simply in a post it with the name of a private company and requesting directions to reach it got in 'look on the internet' as an answer. Useless and not not polite.

The hotel is just in the center of Reykjavik and provides walking access to all the sightseing spots of the city. The room was adequately spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast complete and well varied.

First of all, the location is perfect. Very very close to bus stops 1 & 3. If you are leaving before breakfast time, they offer coffee, fruit, and croissants next to the reception area. Thanks...

This is my second time here and we were put in an older apartment (last time i was in the new one). Even though old it was in very good condition except for the water. The shower and the washbasin water had a strong smell of sulphur which made bath and brushing teeth very difficult.

The Location is fantastic and close to all facilities and bus stop.

The breakfast is from 7:00 to 10:00, but you’d better go there before 9:30 since they start to remove the breakfast around 9:40.

The bed is very comfortable, the facilities are new and clean. It also has a good location.

Shower was a bit small, and the bathroom could do with a couple of towel hooks.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I tripped and fell in the revolving door and they couldn’t have been more caring and helpful. The door did have a raised metal lip which I tripped on so this could use looking at.

The TV did not work properly. Not all stations came on and those that did were either corrupted or dropped out after just a few minutes. These things can happen, but Reykjavik is a modern city, and the hotel is a good and fairly expensive one; the problem should have been quickly solved. The front desk told us on Saturday that someone was coming on Sunday morning to fix the problem, but the TV still didn't work midday on Monday when we checked out. On the plus side, the WiFi worked great.

The location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, cleanliness and comfort were all great. I would have rated the stay a 10 except that the TV did not work properly for the entire 2-day stay even after the front desk claimed it would be fixed.

The problem with the television.

Location, staff, and cleanliness all outstanding. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only reason I dropped my rating was that television was not working. It would connect and then drop out. The problem was hotel wide and was supposed to be fixed our first day there, but it was still not fixed by the time we checked out after 2 days. This should not have been such a longstanding problem in a hotel of this class and at this price. However, if not for the television problem, I would have given this property a 10 with no reservation.
