Bathroom smell at end of visit - apparently a ventilation problem. Kitchen needs a new refrigerator.

Hygiene The bathroom reeked after the second day and a notice then came out that they were fixing ventilation the day after we left. Sewer gas was nasty. Hard to figure out parking. The combo to enter a suite was too easy and created safety concerns.

Close to all activities and restaurants. Although the band played loud and carried through the building it did stop before midnight.

Wish we had an oven, but I think some apartments do come with one. The noise from the bar downstairs is a consideration as is street noise from party goers- particularly on weekends. It did wake us up. But, it was a tradeoff for the location. Just be prepared. Also wish there was an in-house laundry facility. We ended up not going next door to the paid laundry mat.

Great amenities. Super easy to get to. Wonderful apartment layout. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. You can't beat the location! Highly recommend for these reasons.

Note that although booking dot com says twin rooms with cooking facilities are available, they are not. These are all double rooms. The twin rooms are traditional hotel rooms without kitchenette. The staff were lovely though and (as I was staying with my son) they moved us to another property they manage.

Parking cost in the different zones in the centre of the city. The high cost of food and drink. The distance from the main international airport. Hot water from the tap smelt of sulphur.

The location was very central for all the shops. The local swimming pools around the city. Various shows relating to the geography and formation of Iceland. Local transport from the centre to outlying events. Free entry for senior citizens at swimming pools.

Problem with self check-in. At 3 a.m. the code to the apartment did not work. After minutes of contact on the hotline and several attempts at other codes, we managed to get into the apartment. We were checked into the wrong apartment. Only after a long explanation and several hours of waiting, we received an apology and the opportunity to move to the apartment booked via booking.

Good localization. Promenade, bars and shops nearby. The apartments have modernly furnished rooms.

The noise from the street was unbearable from one bedroom. It wasn't the pub downstairs as they stop music at 11 pm. It was some busker in the street who was playing loud awful music until the police removed him about 4am. Why they allow that to happen in a residential area I do not know. It ruins a fabulous experience.

Faulty toilet bowl and kitchen tap. Can hear the noise from the pub downstairs even with all windows fully closed.

One of the downsides of being in a central street was that it had all the bars open late and Friday and Saturday night was very loud with drunk people on the streets until 5-6 AM. The windows in the apartment were also a bit fragile and let cold pass through, but with the heating all was good and the Room was very warm and cozy :)

The apartment was very big and well decorated. Kitchen well equiped and big screen TV. Very good option right in the center of Reykjavik.

the apartment is in the central of everything . shops, bars, restaurants are only step away . Bus stops are near . the apartment almost has everything you need . we love the little kitchen with microwave, kettle & cooking hobs . apartment it has a balcony w/c you can view the church and the city . we are so lucky to see the Northern Lights from our balcony .

The last finish in the apartment, which is really nice, newly renovated and spacious, but for instance the lock to the toiletdoor did not work properly.

Toilets were outside the room. Lot of noise from the street. Finding a parking was not that easy as explained. The description should be very clear that there is no personal available and no front office.
