We really enjoyed our stay here as a young family. Our toddler loved exploring the wide open gardens and the two bedroom apartment had more than enough room to us to spread out in. The views are sensational and the property is only a few minutes from Pienza, where there are plenty of local shops, a supermarket and a kids playground. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with Francesco before heading out each the day.

Absolutely beautiful. Super historic building converted into accommodation. Pienza town centre a few minutes drive. Breakfast was great.

The heating system had some issues.

Location is great, very quite and also close to reach by car Pienza. The house is an old one, typical Tuscany style, with old furniture and well equiped. They also had great olive products local made.

Amazing location in Val d'Orcia. Just could not let inside all the beauties that are present in this region.

We had the two bedroom apartment and it was spacious, well designed and beautiful decorated. The location, just outside Pienza, was perfect. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. Parking and check in were easy. They provided robes, towels and a wonderful bath basket filled with fantastic soaps, body lotion and more. We loved out stay here.

the view in October is not good. all the land becomes brown and barren.

the room is good, they have a kitchen you can use. and they provide all the kitchenware for you. the staff is nice and they give you a guide for the town.

Our stay at Agriturismo Il Macchione was beyond expectations! The location and historic charm were captivating. Comfortable rooms, a stunning pool, and proximity to Pienza enhanced our experience. Great staff, delicious breakfasts, and a good kitchen (in the apartment) added to the charm.

Too many birds nesting in courtyard/ breakfast area; birds pooped on us regularly.

Rooms were very comfortable : staff friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Close enough to walk into Pienza: and lots of nearby villages and towns in east driving distance.

The host is good and helpful. The view is really good. We saw the beautiful Toscany sunset from the outdoor swimming pool. The natural cosmetics use in the room is really great.

it’s 2km to edge of town, about half of this is along a busy road.

Amazing view, amazing pool, very helpful staff. we had the tower room, very big, very comfortable. We are 2 women friends, we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, which was fabulous! There was a very stocked fridge - full of Prosecco, red wine, beer at various price points. It’s also has a microwave which was very handy (other places haven’t). A breakfast included each morning set us up for the day. We also received access to a private car space in Pienza which was very convenient. it’s a very short drive. The property was in touch in advance re different tours and activities. We hire the e-bikes for a day, excellent way to explore. we also did the cooking class, was a very authentic experience. we found it very well priced for the space, comfort, convenience. Would love to return someday!

The villa is authentic and full of character- exposed beam roof, slate floors. The driveway is lined on both sides by cypress pines and there js a lovely pool to enjoy. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and we could self cater with the kitchenette. The property also provided a designated car parking spot in Pienza town.

Everything was perfect! Really nothing about it we did not like.

The whole experience was fantastic. Lovely family owns and runs the place. Apartment was very clean and extra spacious. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; you place your order the day before. The outside area is also beautiful. It was very cold and rainy when we were there, but in good weather must be spectacular! Would definitely recommend and return here. Loved it!

The shower cabin is small. Breakfast was very good, but still there is room for some improvement to bring it to the very high standards of the other facilities.

Location and view are excellent. Francisco very helpful with everything, as stated by other reviewers too. The weather did not allow us to stay outside and enjoy the beautiful garden with the swimming pool and BBQ.
