눉The room is very small: only skinny people can easily move to the other side of the room (passage between bed and furniture is very small and space between door and lavabo too). If you are a light sleeper, don't expect to sleep before 22:30 and after 6:45. The stairs to the rooms are right next to the kitchen and all the noises from the kitchen (cutlery, plates, voices, etc.) go upstairs. We found this very disturbing, especially because we had chosen the hotel for its quiet location. Note that the hotel also has a restaurant with tables outside, so if you have a room in the front of the building, during the summer, you probably have also the noises of the dining guests on the terrace. The restaurant of the hotel is the only one in the little village, if you want to eat elsewhere, you have to go down the hill onto the main road (a few kilometers away).
눇Very nice, quiet location, very friendly staff, very clean room. Restaurant serves good food. Breakfast was ok too (variety of cakes, yoghurt, bread, and fresh fruit).

눉Slightly off the beaten path but that could be seen as a positive by like-minded travellers.
눇Everything, but don't tell anybody else as we want it all to ourselves for the future. We loved the location, the rooms, and especially the food. I loved the local/house wine a lot too. This is the Italy I wanted to experience but seldom found. The little village (Al Piccolo Borgo) Castlenuovo was high over the clouds looking down on the valleys below. Full of quaint alleyways and old little houses, we fell in love with the place. The hotel was equally quaint and fairytale like. The food was local, delicious, generous and authentic. The rooms are quaint and small and in keeping with the experience. It is 20 mins from Monte Cassino which was the highlight of our travels in the area. Close enough to Rome on the Autostrada to make it a weekend retreat. It's one to back to.
