Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Be aware that the internet isn't available but they do tell you that in the description. Using the phone as a hot spot works early in the morning but later in the day not so much. This isn't a negative if you want to be free of electronics for your stay.
The location close to the train station and grocery store was excellent. The rooms were quiet and the bedroom was especially nice - it was well separated from the rest of the apartment with no lights shining in to disturb. The shutters on the windows keep it dark and quiet. Very very peaceful and an excellent night's sleep which after a period of travel is very welcome.

Everything was good, no complaints.
Reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Apartment was well appointed and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay there. Was a decent location for food, drinks and shopping. We walked everywhere from there, even to St. Marks square.

Shower water temperature was a bit erratic-probably the reason for a hand-held shower head.
The location was convenient to train and bus station and all things yummy:)

Wifi didn’t work.
Proximity to station, less than 5 minute walk. Quiet peaceful residential area. Walking distance to restaurants & attractions. First floor apartment overlooked a canal at the back & a green area at the front. It was comfortable, warm & well equipped. Reception staff member was very welcoming & helpful.

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not working at all and the kettle have seen better days.
The staff was great, Emanuel was very nice and helpful. He is a credit to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.

No wifi and bed needs replacing
Very good location near station and ferry stop to airport. You can walk to St Marks Square, took us about 40 minutes. Apartment was adequate for our stay and had a well equipped kitchen. It is near canal and many restaurants.

The complex is close to the train station and slightly away from the crowds, meaning it was quiet and peaceful. The apartment is beautifully fitted out with everything you could think of and more. The amount of rules and regulations was a bit off putting, but the man on reception was very helpful so this made it more welcoming. Plus he gave us 2 excellent recommendations for a vegetarian restaurant and a tapas bar.

WiFi didn't work for the 2 nights I was there. I paid extra to upgrade to a room with a canal view and the view of the canal was pretty much non existent.
The location was good in terms of arriving and leaving from the Bus station, Train station and easy to catch the bus to the airport. The river bus stations were 5mins away. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets within 10 mins. I walked from the apartments to St Marks Square and caught the Vaparetto back. The apartment was spacious and adequately equipped. I really appreciated the washing machine.

The flat was on ground floor, so people could look inside. However, the other side directed to the channel was great.
Great, calm, green locality near the train station and Ponte degli Scalzi. Jewish quarter very close, too. Staff very friendly, I could leave the luggage there while visiting Venice after check-out. I highly recommend to stay with Alberghiera Venezia.

No mug in the room. The quilt cover is dirty with stain
The place is an apartment with wash machine. Very convenient, so we washed a lot of our dirty clothes. The room is warm with quite bit space. Bed is comfortable. Kettle, microwave and dishes are all there. Staff who helped us checked in are super friendly. We don’t know how to open the door inside apartment, and he came to teach us right after we called and showed us few food choices on the map!

The person at front desk was so freaking nice and helped us with everything. We got a little bit late but he waited on us till we could check in. The place is very close from everything, best restaurants, the main streets, the train station and everything. I'd definitely be back ❤️

I think they could improve the services provided by the staff. They close the reception for a few hours in the middle of the day and we had yo take our luggage out hours before we left to the airport. I understand if this was late at night or early morning, but in the middle of the day it was a bit annoying.
The rooms were nice, overlooking a canal and close to Cannaregio area.

It was really cute. The apartment had everything we needed for living a couple of days. It was very warm because of the heating. However, the microwave didn’t work. Besides, there was only one frying pan. The staff in the reception was so kind and he helped us with touristic things. We are so grateful with our experience!!!!!! Bye bye xoxoxoxo 🎀

There wasn’t any tea or coffee provided - even if it is just a couple of sachets for the first evening that would have made it much more comfortable.
It was clean and very comfortable - you could choose the temperature setting for the apartment which was great as we don’t like it too warm to sleep!
