Wifi (not too broad broadband) was poor. Unstable signal strength, and failed numerous times. In our day and age when my iPhone doubles as net router and replacement that is not a very significant complaint, only irritating. The “double bed” was a provocation. Made up with bed sheets as double, however mattresses and the two units were completely unconnected. For me, single traveller, that was only not very convenient, for a couple it would be extremely irritating. I missed a comfortable chair. For reading the bed was the only option.

Fabulous location. Placed at the centre of things in Trieste. Also the procedures for access, door code and so on, worked very well. Kitchen was well equipped, and rooms spacious. Bathroom ok.

The only downside was some noise from the pub downstairs until around midnight, but as I don't sleepT early, it wasn't a significant issue for me. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

My stay at this hotel in Trieste was truly enjoyable. Its location near Piazza Unità made it incredibly convenient. The self-check-in process was smooth and the staff provided clear and accurate instructions. The apartment itself was spacious and well-appointed, although it might be beneficial for business travelers like myself to have a dedicated workspace, although the kitchen table sufficed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

Very good location. Need the town center. Just not easy to find at the first time, especially at the night.

Parking nearby was a challenge, but a discount for local parking was available from the landlord.

Incredible location in the middle of a very active night life in Trieste. Fun and energizing, as well as relatively quiet despite all the people around. Also, the room had some nice amenities, not only salt and pepper but olive oil and vinegar which was a very welcome and generous addition.

Location was noisy in the evening till about midnight. We were told there was WI-FI but it didn’t work, we contacted the manager about it, they were not interested. This place therefore is unusable for working people!!

Very slow and unstable internet connection. In the bathroom, we missed little hooks to hang towels and shelves for soap/shower gel in the shower. Also, shower drain was completely stuck and we had to buy the liquide to clean it so as not to flood the bathroom.

Communication with the staff was perfect and so was the location. The apartment very clean and cosy, we really liked it. They have good deals with neighbouring facilies for parking and breakfast, which we used.

Instructions were poor regarding access to the apartment. Coffee pod machine had no instructions and even when plugged in did not work. Bathroom plug for hair dryer did not work as it was loose in the wall. Nowhere to open a suitcase.

The kitchen lacked basic elements such as small pots, knives etc. and there was an unacceptable communication with the Agency that administres the property. The owner, Illaria, fixed the matter, and we were delighted to have met her.

Piazza Grande Residence is in the center of Trieste, in a pedestrian zone. Excellent location and beautiful premises. We are very pleased with our choice. We received the necessary instructions to enter the apartment, and found the unit to our liking. However, we started receiving confusing messeges from the company that manages the Residence They said that we should "make our payment in cash put it on the kitchen table, and someone will come pick it up". They added that they conduct business 50 kilometers away. In our long experience with Booking.com hotels this situation never happened before and we would not accept it. Our credit card information had been already submitted as guarantee when we booked the unit. This informal communication was really out of order and inappropiate. Furthermore, we found that the kitchen in the apartment lacked basic things like smalll pots, a knive, and other necessary instruments. We use the kitchen particularly to do breakfast. However, the story ends well. Illaria, the charming owner of the unit, came personally and fixed the matter. We were happy to meet Illaria. She is an intelligent entrepreneur. Her property is really excellent. Our stay of six days was pleasing and we left impressed by the beauty, elegance and ambiance of this great city.

The apartments are just above (in the same house) a very popular bar which is open and crowded until late hours (2-4 am on a Tuesday night). The noise is that loud that even earplugs don't help.

New, fresh and clean, comfortable apartment. Great communication with the host. Perfect if you want to go out and stay awake during the night.

It is small and basic in terms of facilities. It was difficult to get access as there is no reception and owner did not communicate how to get access. You are paying for location and not facilities.

The location is terrific. Very central and still not too far from the railway station. The apartment has the basics and is nice to stay in for a couple of nights.

Unfortunately being right in the city center, some nights the place can be extremely noisy as there are many bars and restaurants in close proximity

Location is great, you are just in the middle of the city center where all bars and restaurants are. No need to use the car or a taxi to move around.

Bars are directly under the window, so it can be rather noisy, especially on Friday night. For those who would like to go to bed before 1 am, this may be a bit difficult.

Great location, in the heart of the historic centre. parking close by (at an additional, rather ok cost).
