Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWish we could have stayed longer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our much too short stay at L’Aromatario! The accommodations were lovely and our breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Catarina is the perfect hostess and made us feel completely at home during our visit. Our one regret is that we happened to be there the 2 nights their highly rated restaurant is closed during the week. Not to worry… just another reason for a return visit to the beautiful village of Neive and this magical property!

United States of AmericaIt was very difficult to figure out how to get in. The building was locked, we called the numbers associated with the facility but didn't reach anyone. The restaurant was closed but eventually we were able to reach a restaurant employee via text. They told us to try the bell next to the door. We looed and eventually found a bell but it was completely covered with ivy. The bell worked - those instruction's should have been included in our information .
Beautiful building in the center of this little hilltop town. The room had plenty of space to spread out and the bed was comfortable enough. We were able to do a lovely walk through the vinyards and quiet country roads.

ItalyWonderful, relaxing breakfast with the best cappuccino I've had for a long time. Home-made cakes and a different fruit smoothie every morning. Everything you need is already on the table and the friendly staff bring you any extras you might desire. Neive is a lovely, little town and a good base for exploring the area. The Aromatario restaurant is also very good and definitely worth trying. The wine we had at dinner was from a winery whose vineyards were literally 1 km away. In fact, we stopped by and bought a bottle or two on our way home!

PolandMosquitoes- unfortunately there’s a lot of them inside (August).
Very cosy hotel located in the center of little town. Offers terrace garden with jacuzzi and amazing breakfasts with a choice of anything you want. We had a nice apartment with independent entrance and parking place which was really helpful. Two levels apartment had a tiny balcony with nice view in the bedroom located on the 1st floor, another room with kitchen. It was clean and comfy. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the place have amazing atmosphere.

Right in the middle of town. The hotel is beautiful and quiet and the courtyard is wonderful to sit down and have a glass of wine. And the turtles are amazing!!

United KingdomAll that you might expect from the beautiful pictures, this property is not. First off, the host never replied to the numerous emails I sent her via Booking.com regarding our stay, which she said she never received; either this is true or Booking.com let us both down? As a result we arrived to discover that the restaurant was closed and we would have to take our chances with those others in the town, and that the rooms we’d requested were no longer available. Secondly, our host was not there to greet us, but rather her somewhat flustered and confused father who as best he could and with limited English showed us to what he was told on the phone, speaking with his daughter and our host, were our rooms (not what we’d reserved via Booking.com). The rooms and the rest of the property, as well as the outside area was, as I said, tired and unkept, not what we’d expected from the pictures on Booking.com. Disappointed but with nowhere else to go, we started to bring our cases in from the car, which was when the host arrived who greeted us with a defensive challenge to our expression of disappointment, who told us that if we weren’t happy we could go somewhere else, and her defence when we enquired as to the disparity between what was and what we’d been led to believe it would be was, “I love my property,” which left us a little confused. Unfortunately, she was unable to see our point. Thirdly, the next morning, as we had to leave slightly earlier, we asked if it would be possible to have breakfast at 7.30am (a not unreasonable time, and what is expected of most BnB’s, as people often have someplace else to be the next day, like catching a train or a flight), which we were assured would not be a problem. Unfortunately, yet another disappointment was to great us the next morning in the pleasant, but yet confused greeting of the lady preparing the breakfast room, who was none the wiser (breakfast is at 8am) We never saw our host again. Who knows?
The location is magical, set among the vineyards of the surrounding area, the small town of Neive with it’s narrow cobbled streets is charming, and the property enjoys a prime position within the town, close to one of the town squares and near to local restaurants, of which there are a few, wedged between two churches, and views across the countryside through windows framed with Virginia Creepers, the picture is romantic and much of what you can expect.

NorwayToo much noise made it very difficult to sleep. The heavy door of the restaurant banged when people left at night until very late, maybe midnight. Then about 5 or 6 a.m. a large truck (moving truck or trash truck) drove up to the hotel and offloaded some very heavy and noisy boxes or crates. This woke me up and I wasn`t able to fall asleep again. Also, one of the reasons we booked here was for the hot tub which was advertised. When we asked about using it, we were told it was not functioning because the jets weren`t strong enough (?????)
Amazing breakfast, the best one we had in Italy.
