Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenStaff do not understand english, so that the communcation was difficult. No guidance at the entrance how to check-in and how to come in. Smilly staircase and not clean entrance. Broken handle of the buildings door. No brochure or paper listing some restaurants, public transportation stations or attractions existing in the region. We felt ourselves in a miss.
Close to the airport. Late checkin. Rooms have acceptable cleaness but not impressive. Staff are kind. Staff came just in 15 min of check-in and tried to help us.

BulgariaIt was far from the center of the city. There's no transport to the airport. We're waiting for the taxi early in the morning about 20 minutes which the servant at the hotel order the evening before, but the taxi driver didn't come. We must to go to the airport by foot about 3 kilometers, because our plan B didn't work - we use a taxi application which doesn't work. It was 5.45 in the morning
Good restaurant and food.

BulgariaThe chek-in hour after 19:00 isn't convenient. You will be asked to pay €10 for chek-in early but not before 15:00. The room №4 has a big terrace but the door is not closing very tightly. so there is a little bit of gap and from there small tinny ants are entering the room in search for food.
I have choose it because of the location, 40 min walking distance from the airport. There is a pizza restaurant on the first floor. I cannot say anything about it because I didn't eat there. The room and the toilet was clean.

LithuaniaNo bugs in the room would have been nice. We woke up around 3-4am because someone was watching videos on their phone in the hallway on max sound. The beds were not comfortable.
The location is good, it is within walking distance of BGY airport. The staff vas very friendly. The price was good. The room has a tv, a mini fridge and the best part was balcony.

Rooms are above of pizza restaurant (very good pizza!), and sometimes it is noisy. Good spot - just opposite of apartment there is bus stop, which takes You to the city center in 15 min.

GermanyIts difficult to go this area from the Airport via public transport. I was able to book a taxi and it costs me around 20 EUR one way. It was so hot inside the room as it was summer. Air condition will costs you an additional 10 EUR for a single day. No complimentary water in the room. Earliest check-in is 19:30 pm. The owner is not so friendly. I guess he is somehow related to the owner of the restaurant. He saw me inside the restaurant but didn't even greet me or give a smile. If only the owner the is kind and friendly, i could have forget all the issues in this room.
There's a pizza restaurant outside the hotel room. Bed is very comfortable.

Czech RepublicLate check-in fee 20 Eur made the stay in MammaMia unreasonably expensive. In that case it is better to book something in the centre and use shuttle bus instead of spending extra money for taxi and late check-in.
Close to the airport, taxi costs 15 Eur.

United StatesWhere do I start with what makes this place something to avoid unless you really are a habitual penny pincher (LOL)??? Well, let's start with my frequent traveller credentials. And, no, I am past the need to brag, trust me (been there, done that for a short while...). 1). I have flown over 2 million Km on United Airlines and a few other members of the Star Alliance, including Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Austrian, Swiss, ANA, TAP, Air NZ, Brussels Airlines, SAS, etc. 2). I worked for many years for a US federal agency with the second highest annual budget after DoD, with a classification equivalent to GS-13. 3). I lodged at some of the world's higher ends establishments, such as Ritz-Carlton (Montreal, Atlanta, etc.), Beverly Wilshire (Beverly Hills), Sheraton (Virginia Beach, Laguna Guam, etc.), Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki, Westin Hapuna Prince Resort. IHG Intercontinental (Cleveland, Sidney, etc.) as well as in very rustic locations such as a mattress on a dirt floor in Avarua (Rarotonga--Cook Islands; a place run by indigenous folk who treated me like royalty even though they had very little in the way of earthly possessions but were golden hearted! So, I am used to all kinds of lodging situations and I am not the frustrated type, unsure of himself trying to project something on those around me. Having finished my longish introduction, let me tell you what I think of this small time crook of an owner. First, how many times have you encounter a lodging place that makes his check-in time to be 19:30??? Sure, there might be exception where one needs to wait a bit before getting into his/her room. But to START with 7:30 PM all the time is nothing short of thievery! Oh, but there is a solution: pay an extra 10 euro and bingo, you are into your room as soon immediately. And now, to the part that really infuriated me: I did agree to the extra charge, but made the mistake if handing this crook a 50 euros bill.
Relatively close to both airport, bus (line 6) and main train station as well as to the mall located by the airport. There is also a convenience store two blocs from the property called MD--you can google it. If you book the four person room with spa you will have use of a bath tub. Unfortunately, the jets did not work when we were there.
