Nothing related to the hotel but the mosquitoes were pretty bad at this time of year. No supermarket close by and not alot of public transport in the area. End of season meant that some restaurants and bars were closed.

A really nice, cosy and modern boutique hotel set in a quiet residential area literally five minutes walk from the beach. The room was big, the bed comfortable and the balcony gave us great views of the mountains and a limited view of the sea. Having just six rooms, we had the pool to ourselves in the afternoon. We only made it to breakfast once but the pastries were warm and fresh and the coffee machine was easy to use. Illary was so helpful and sorted us out with a taxi when we needed one and directed us to her parents restaurant for a very nice evening meal. The Osciale Street Food cafe was at the end of the main road and was a great place for burgers, panini's and salads. If you want a relaxing, quiet break, this is the place to stay.

Very nice location close to lots of beaches, and interesting towns. Very nice and welcoming staff, and the bedrooms were very clean. The breakfast was very filled in with lots of nice pastries ! Love the quietness of the place and having a swim in the pool in the morning, definitely recommend this place.

We loved this place: quiet, secure parking, great location (walking distance to beach and restaurants). Great breakfast (with lots of options). Spacious room with balcony and option to hang wet swimsuits. Very nice pool.

Breakfast was a little boring after a couple of days and lasts only until 9.30. Long sleepers will be woken anyway around 8.30 as the cleaners start outside the room with their meticulous work (the whole setting is perfectly maintained). The bed is of good size but a bit soft in the middle. The terrace is lovely and spacious, the furniture could be improved to make it more comfortable.

Spacious room, very clean, kingsize bed, strong airco, super attentive hosts and staff, lovely pool which we most of the time enjoyed for ourselves. Also the bicycles (free to use) are a big bonus; in good shape and perfect to quickly hop on to the village or to the beautiful beach at less then 10 minutes away. After breakfast and cleaning the hotel gets very quiet which we appreciated. Great tip to eat in the family restaurant Portomatto, we went twice, fully recommended. Avola itself is rather small and not very vibrant, but a good location to visit the highlights of south-east Sicily as well as spend relaxing time near the pool or on the sandy beaches. Adriano went out of his way to make sure we were allright, despite tough family circumstances. You did a great job, grazie mille!

Absolutely perfect! Owner is super sweet and helpful when looking for recomendations in area. Accomodation was clean and quiet with spacious terracce with pool view. We enjoyed pool for ourselves most of the time and also whole stay made us feel welcomed and super nice :)

The property was excellent...with a lovely pool and surrounding garden. It is a short walk to the beach which is long and sandy with umbrellas available. The hostess Illary was very kind helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and smart bathroom. The breakfast room comfortable looking out to the garden. The area was quiet. Good off road parking available. The property is ideally situated to visit the baroque towns and Siracusa.

I can assure everyone that Ms. Illary Molisina is the greatest host! She helped us in every way. The choise of breakfast was really good, the room was so nice and spacious and i enjoyed every moment at the pool. Illary did everything to keep us happy! Excellent!!!!!
