it is the best place in Matera, we are very happy to stay here. Their hospitality is really great and help us a lot. Matera is beautiful and worth to go around by foot. Breakfast is also perfect, hope we could go back again : )

First of all, hosts Rosa and Aldo are lovely and friendly couple. They are very kind, caring and communicative. Breakfasts prepared by them rich and outstanding. The apartment stylish, spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need. Located right at the main street of Sassi. Terrace with beatiful view. Good restaurant Conzato right at the corner.

Everything— our room was very spacious and the view from our balcony was incredible! The breakfast was outstanding— especially Rosas’s raspberry tart! The location was perfect and hosts, Aldo and Rosa, are absolutely wonderful and so helpful! Our tour with Aldo to the Murgia Plateau was above and beyond our expectations! We will definitely go back with our family so they can have the same experience!

We were met by Aldo in parking garage as you are not allowed by car in the Sassi. He brought us to his lovely place right in middle of Sassi. House is very comfortable with everything you need to stay few nights in comfort. Tasty and big breakfast. Aldo gave us recommendation for great local food restaurant. We enjoyed it very much and hopefully we can come back.

Aldo and Rosa run a simple but extremely nice bed and breakfast. Their hospitality is unmatched! They picked us up from the parking and drove us into Matera. The view from the room is exceptional. The breakfast is probably one of the best breakfasts I have had in an establishment like this. Would highly recommend if you want to have an authentic Italian experience with truly nice people!

Fantastic hosts. Aldo picked us up/returned us to the car park (which I highly suggest) to take stress out of parking for 20e per day. The room was great, renovated bathroom, cute loft bed, easy stairs and a fantastic balcony with postcard views of the Sassi at night. Breakfast was OMG best in Italy and weve been here 26nights at this point. Highly recommend for Matera stop.

Everything was perfect

Everything. Perfect location with all the sights walkable. Lovely accommodation and was great having a terrace to sit out with a glass of wine. A fantastic breakfast served next door each day with a massive variety of food! Could never finish it all. Special mention to Aldo and Rosa who are the most warm and lovely hosts. From recommending restaurants to giving us a lift to the station they were just lovely. Almost like your grandparents looking after you!

Loved our stay, Aldo was a very hospitable host providing locations for parking and giving us a lift to our accomodation and helping us feel right at home. The location was perfect, very close to everything and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing - lots of tasty cheeses, meats and focaccia. Highly recommend :)

The house..beautiful,clean and comfortable.The bed what a sleep.The view magical. The location centre of old town. You ll have your breakfast served with love in a traditional cave room by those two incredible people, Rosa e Aldo. You won t be willing to leave the place. The location was fantastic ! From the balcony we would look up and see the splendid views of the cathedral and the Sassi. The apartment had everything we needed and the breakfasts were outstanding , cheese, cold meats Rosa s homemade cake all delicious! The hosts Aldo and Rosa couldn t do enough for you. They are a such lovely people and really wanted us to get the most from our stay. In fact Aldo took us in his car to see the fantastic views of Matera from different viewpoints across the ravine and showed us the historic caves. We took some great photographs!! They did really make the difference between having a good stay and having a fantastic stay. Thankyou !

The location, the athmosphere, the extraordonary breakfast and the love and care of Alto and Rosa. You made my stay perfect, thank you! The apartment was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is perfect, the wifi was OK. I could never imagine a better place to stay ín Matera. <3

Aldo and Rosa are incredibly sweet and we felt welcomed and right at home. The property is spotless, well appointed, and the location can’t be beat. The balcony with view is a highlight of the trip, along with the delicious breakfast - especially Rosa’s pastries!

Perfect location, and mr Aldo and mrs Rosa are wonderful hosts. Mr Aldo even went above and beyond by taking me on a personal sightseeing tour with his car, given my ankle was in a cast. I travel a lot, without typically writing reviews - but this place with its wonderful owners deserves a special mention. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience

Everything was perfect

Aldo and Rossa were fantastic host! Aldo picked us up from the parking and dropped us off with all our luggage. The room is actually a proper flat and it has everything you need and is very spacious. Host should put better pictures of the accommodation because it looks much nicer in reality :) . The breakfast is amazing: fresh mozzarella, home made focaccia and cake, perfect coffee… Prime location in Matera where every sight can be reached on foot.
