The host has a profession outside of running this property so until travelling to the airport it was not possible to have the kind of chat that I value when travelling. Perhaps because I was the only guest, the breakfast fell short of my expectations; no fresh bread or pastries, for example, fruit "juices" with as little as 25% fruit content and neither bowls nor milk to go with the cereal on offer. However, I do recognise that Italians often have only a relatively small but sweet breakfast, or indeed only coffee first thing in the morning.

I had an overnight stay in Bari between flights and this property met my needs for a stay close to the airport. In the morning, the host provided me with a (paid) transfer to the airport. The host met me in person when I arrived after dark by taxi. The room and separate bathroom were both spacious and I was not aware of any traffic or aircraft noise.

I would not choose it for a long vacation, but if you are arriving by plane at a very early or late hour and need a place to crash, then this is perfect for you. It is really near the airport, 4 minutes by car, cca 17 minutes on foot. The owner is very, very nice, helpful, attentive and flexible - really ready for you at any hour. We had to be at an airport at 5 o'clock in the morning and it was no problem for him to open the gates for us. The property is guarded by a very high fence and you have to call the owner to let you in and out. He has no problem with that and is available at all times. Also, the fridge in our room didn't work, so he kindly offered us the fridge in the breakfast hall - left the doors opened for us. Really kind. The room is clean and basic, wi-fi doesn't really work :), but we had data, so it was fine for us.

The room was on the ground floor and had no ventilation.

We arrived late in the evening. They were waiting for us and since there was nothing open they provided us with bottles of water. The place is very close to the airport, 5 minutes by car and about 20 minutes by foot.

The only con is to be far from the city centre, and no restaurants to a walking distance, but we specifically booked this place to be close to the airport where we had to catch an early flight.

Room was spacious enough for a double bed and a bunk bed (2 adults and 2 children), fresh and clean line and towels provided, and AC was a blessing on such hot day. The big garden and patio provided some nice space for the children to run and play around. The short distance to the airport was ideal for us to catch and early flight in the morning (5 min drive) so we didn’t have to wake up too early. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Owners are delightful, attentive, responsive and charming. They also provide a service to the airport which was very convenient. There are no restaurants at a walking distance but we ordered pizza and beer to be delivered. We had an overall feeling of being among family. Good value for money.

There should be a notice showing the Wi-Fi password in the rooms. I had come so late that I didn’t want to disturb the owner for a Wi-Fi password and hoped that I could find it in the room but that is a very minor thing. I’m sure if I had asked he would have given it with a smile.

My flight was delayed and I got there at 5 am rather than 2.40 am that was the original plan and the owner let me in once I called him and greeted me with a smile and was very efficient and equally gave me a smile when I left. They seemed like absolutely lovely people.

Because the owner has another job at the premises, it’s not always easy to get his attention.

The owner was waiting for us even though the flight was delayed and it was 2 in the morning when we arrived. Communication was very good. Room is clean and the bed is comfortable.

Primary use is only for quick stay for airport travel. Transportation to the city is only by bus.

Closer to the airport, but will need a taxi to get there. Bari taxis are not cheap even for small rides and no Uber. The owner was very friendly and accommodative. He dropped us back to airport with additional charges.

Very old and poorly appointed room. Bathroom tiles and room floor dirty.Bed and linen old and threadbare. Breakfast as per other comments, very ordinary. The owner drove us to the terminal the following morning for 15 E I wouldn’t recommend this property.

You have to ask the staff to open the gate to make it possible to leave. The shower was broken. The walls are wet in many places. There was no body wash.
