How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Clean and spacious room and bathroom with all you need. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a class of its own with numerous awesome homemade creations from cakes to omelets, countless jams and more. Bread, granola, fresh ricotta. The hosts are always there to help and explain recipies if desired. None of those repugnant, industrial croissants packaged in plastic. Its our first B&B in Italy actually deserving the second B!

We loved everything from location, accommodation to all service been provided. They are so helpful, kind and always there to help, assist and let me tell you also about breakfast 10/10 so many choices incredible. We had an issue with travel and they helped to bring us to show and guide amazing people, service and room loved it! If to go to Trapani always will choose this place.

The owner Mario was amazing and very helpful with everything. Breakfast was also great with salty and sweet options. Ambient for the breakfast was also amazing on the terrase. Also the apartament was very clean and well kept of.

The hotel was above our expectations. Nice location and structure. We stayed for one night, but everything was perfect: the bed is very comfortable, bathroom contained everything needed (nice options of shampoo, conditioner and soap) and good quality towels. Another amazing point was the super complete breakfast with various options for all tastes! The staff was very gentle and attentive, gave us some highlights about the city and also about Sicily in general. I highly recommend this place!

Safe parking just in front of the building. Nice breakfast on the nice balcony. We had trouble with our car, and Mario helped us to resolve everything!!! Once more thank you Mario for everything!!!!

The long walking distance to the city centre.
The size and quality of the room were beyond our expectations. Friendly and very attentive staff. They deliver great customer service and a delicious breakfast with home-made cakes!

Nothing, although we shared a common bathroom across a tiny hall from the room.
Outside of downtown in a safe, but working class part of town. Owners super friendly and made up for the location. It’s an oasis of it’s own and you can’t beat the price! Stumbled upon a great restaurant (La Pergola) about 5 blocks from hotel on a busy street. Owners were superb.

The breakfast was excellent! I was not expecting the food to be that great, plenty of options and lots of options for drink. The hotel is clean and the owners are really friendly and helpful. Recommend staying here.

Mario and Irina are the most welcoming people I've met during our stay in Sicily. They make you feel at home. The room has everything you need, it is extremely clean and surprisingly they made the bed and changed the towels every day. The breakfast is simply amazing, Irina bakes delicious cakes every day. The B&B it is just outside the city center, by car you will need just about 3 minutes to get to the closest (and cheapest) parking lot. And not less important there is a huge free parking space in front of the house. We would definitely come back!

Elegant rooms, dining room/ terrace. Responsive, helpful and very kind hosts. Mario offered to bring us from the city center to the hotel. Great breakfast, also with homemade products, fruits; wide selection.

Mario and his wife are very kind and helped us with everything we needed. Even the last day they took us to the bus station because my mother had pains in her knee. The room was very nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious. It totally exceeded our expectations especially for the kindness and willingness to help of both of them. Thank you very much.

location is not ideal if you don't have a car
Room is really clean and cozy. The furniture is old but everything is clean. The host was nice and friendly. Location is not perfect but we came by car so for us it was ok, it's not near historical town and beach but if you come with car it's not so far and parking was easy to find near beach and city center. Parking in front of the apartman was free. breakfast was great, more than we expected from an Italian breakfast - croissants, cheese, ham, soft drinks, cakes...

We did not have any balcony as it was advertised on Booking.Com instead we were situated in ground floor. We had no access to Wifi.
The location is a bit noisy at night as the locals gather in the street and are very noisy.
