Really our stay was so fabulous and I would return in an instant. But if I wanted to be very picky the sheets were rougher than I'm used to. But This would not deter me from returning because everything else was just wonderful and we were very happy with our stay.

Very Clean, great location--easy to walk everywhere. We had a room with a balcony, it was fabulous to sit out there and enjoy the sunset. The staff very attentive and helpful. Delicious breakfast in the morning with lots of options and coffee/ cappucino made to order. We really enjoyed our stay.

Small Rooms. Although we opted for an economy room as we were more interested in exploring the town. They even have an option of a room with balcony.

Great Location. Clean and Comfortable Rooms. Very Helpful People. Imma from front office helped us plan our return journey even before we arrived at property. Her suggestion really helped us. On arriving at property, she suggested a beautiful route.

Lovely welcome from Salvador on the main desk. I was able to leave my bags in luggage area so I could go and explore before checking into room. The hotel was so clean & inviting. Bedroom was gleaming clean lovely decor & the sea was visible from patio area. Room smelt fresh & was spotless clean the floors gleamed. Bed was very comfortable. TV available. Mini bar was reasonably priced & there were coffee/tea making facilities. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice including some hot & cold, fruit, cereal & pastries. Salvador was friendly & ensured service was impeccable. Would highly recommend. Exceptional hotel.

Nothing to do with the hotel but if you're thinking of Positano, you need to know that it is expensive and in the peak summer months, it can get very crowded given the small streets and laneways.

Bougainville offered up the most professional and helpful staff we had encountered on our recent trip (as well as the second best breakfast). We were here at the end of the tourism season and some locals were a little worn out but not here. The room was small (expected) but well appointed and even had some nice extras like flip flops. We also had a small balcony which was very nice. The location was great as a start point for exploring Positano, accessing the ferries, and even catching a bus to the start of the Pathway Of The Gods hiking trail.

Access is a combination of a luggage lift and 25 steps up, or so; a bit clumsy to arrive/depart.
