Breakfast was fantastic. Jana, who worked the breakfast was fabulous. She is probably the main reason for this excellent review, although all staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Only recommendation I would make is housekeeping could be reduced to every 2-3 days. But it was nice to have, although not really necessary everyday.

What wasn't to like! Fantastic area, close to everything (Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Vatican etc) and fabulous gelato bar around corner! Staff were fantastic, always on hand.

There was no elevator in the apartment building only in the hotel across the square. That means 1-4 of the most uneven steps you will ever experience. We also got locked in the apartment more than once due to the old style locks and keys used.

I enjoyed having an apartment to ourselves directly adjacent to a busy square and within walking distance of many bucket list items such as piazza navona, spanosh steps, trevi fountain, as well as several restaurants nearby in case you were done in by all the walking and just wanted somewhere nearby to go.

Just one tiny word of warning! For our group, in addition to 3 hotel rooms we also booked one 2 person apartment which we had researched thoroughly beforehand both on Booking.com and the hotel's own website. This apartment (which looks lovely in the photos) is advertised on both websites as being located nearby in Via dei Biscone 11 (the larger apartments are said to be in Via dei Cappellari - also nearby). However the apartment we were taken to was not this one advertised. It was actually located about 100yds away in Via dei Pellegrino on the very far side of the busy market square. It was quite barren, lacking in furniture and comfort and certainly not up to the standard of their beautiful hotel rooms (& only a couple of euros less per night). There are absolutely NO photos of this apartment on either website and none of us could find it listed anywhere. It was very dissappointing! That first evening, having seen a friend's room in the hotel, we brought our concerns to the attention of the management via reception who then offered to relocate us to the hotel - luckily there was a room available. So if you have a choice - book a hotel room! The rest of our stay was perfect and we all felt that staying in such a lovely hotel made our visit to Rome even more special.

The hotel is absolutely lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. In addition to the very sumptuous (and spotless) hotel rooms it has a wonderful roof terrace where we could all meet before dinner even though it was December. The views from there were amazing. All the staff are delightful and attentive, they gave us some great tips for sightseeing and it was well worth us booking our airport transfers through them especially as it seems to be a standard rate. The hotel has one of the very best locations in the city, it felt right in the centre so were able to walk everywhere. If I went to Rome again I would not want to stay anywhere else.

The mattress felt old and there was no safe to put our passports in.

Fabulous way to experience living in Rome. Location is exceptional. Bonus is the chocolatier downstairs where you can get fresh hot croissants at 8am.
