The bad side of the hotel was a bad smell because it was in a very old building.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is very close to the historical sites in Rome. The staff of the hotel are very hospitable. I would like to thank especially Richard.

it didn’t really come across as a hotel. the reception was small in a neighbor building. the ‘hotel’ was a floor in another house.

Pricey for the facilities, very high pillows & slightly dated.

Good location, amazing breakfast/espresso bar across the street (best we had in Rome).

Their idea of a continental breakfast needed a little rethinking.

The hotel was located centrally. The room was clean & tidy. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

A comfortable stay in a great location.

I had a double room for single occupancy, so I had a nice king sized bed with pillows that were just the right thickness and firmness for me. There was loads of wardrobe space and a desk with lots of drawers and cubby holes for all my bits and pieces. The bathroom was small, but it had a great power shower, with plenty of hot water - and decent sized towels. All the furniture was old, and the room could have done with a fresh coat of paint, but that added to the character of the place, and everything was spotlessly clean - which is what matters! I was there in March, so the days were pretty warm, but the nights were quite chilly. The room had an aircon unit, which cooled the room down quite quickly when I got in early in the evening, but wan't needed overnight. There were huge opening windows, but Rome is so noisy that I couldn't have them open overnight. The access arrangements were a bit unusual - the hotel doesn't have a full time reception, so you get a key for the outside door as well as for your room. It felt a bit like coming home to my own place, although I got a wee bit stressed about the possibility of losing my key. I had breakfast at the hotel most mornings, and the food selection was fine for me, but some people might consider it a bit limited. As for location - it was pretty much perfect. It was only a few minutes walk from Termini, about 100 metres away from the Via Nazionale (for catching buses) and in easy walking distance from the centre of Rome. I walked to St Peter's in about 45 minutes. There were also plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity (I'd recommend the Diadema, about 3 mins walk down the Via Palermo), and a very nice patisserie just across the road. All in all, I had a very pleasant and comfortable week at the Hotel Caravaggio. It was great value for money (by Rome's price standards), and I'd be very happy to stay there again if (when) I get back to Rome.

    Nothing

Located in a quiet side street with pleasant neighborhood cafes, in The same time within walking distance too most attractions. Was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was clean, nice and had a balcony, cooling capacity and the possibility to make coffee or tea. The beds were good and had enough pillows. It was a quiet and peaceful room, both from the outside (the balcony faced a public building/area without much traffic). It was a bit noisy towards the hallway, but it was a little annoying because there were few rooms in the hallway. Heard little between the rooms. The service was pleasant, although we did not see much of these due to their own entrance with other private apartments. The feeling was therefore that you lived for yourself, which suited us perfectly.

Breakfast not included, which is unusual for Italian hotels especially given the high prices charged. Reception does not open until late, Therefore no one at reception to call a taxi when leaving early, we ended up having to walk to the Train Station as could not get a taxi.

Locations was in a quiet side street, close to the Roma Termini Train Station and close to a good restaurant.

I didn't expect it to feel more like an apartment than a hotel.

Location was very good, near a few good restaurants and sights. Public bikes and scooters were also easily accessible. The cleaning, air con, lights and bed were all satisfactory.

Stressful view through the window. Almost no sunlight comming from it. There is no reception working even through the day. We had to make arrangements to take the keys, leave the keys, take our luggage and so on. Also the entrance of the building is very stinky as all the thrash cans were just next to the front door. Not to mention that the room looked nothing like the front picture of the hotel.

Good location, and everything in the room was working fine.

The shower was quite cramped with an awkward pull partition. The toilet flush is also quite weak.

The staff were always very helpful and provided a map where they highlighted their recommendations. Mini fridge was invaluable for storing drinks during the heatwave. Lovely room with high ceilings. Good security with keys and keypads

I was offered a tour to the Colosseum which had no added value. My bad, but I don't think they should be offering this to customers

It was okay, the cost was fair for what it offered. The staff was nice, very helpful in several situations.
