Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI arrived by car later at night, and it wasn't at all clear initially where to park, especially because the hotel is located in the center of the town, which is basically a pedestrian zone. When I finally got to the hotel on foot, there was a sign to check in at another hotel. That hotel turned out to be only a few minutes walk away and had lots of parking available, and I had no issues once I got there and checked in. I think the arrangement works fine overall but it would good if the hotel could proactively let guests know in advance (by sending a booking.com message?) what the check-in procedure is/where to park car. Other than that, stay was great.
Very clean room in old hotel located right in center of town/village that seems to have been recently renovated. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and great view of Dolomites from breakfast room. Staff I interacted with were all very friendly, and they even gave out a free bottle of water when I checked out.

ItalyThe rooms were too heated. I managed to adjust the temperature, yet in my second room I felt the heating coming from other rooms.
Breakfast and the staff was excellent! Very clean! Comfortable rooms and common area. Super close to everything (bus stop, supermarket, restaurants, forest, Spa). I even had a beautiful view from my room. I felt home!

United States of AmericaNothing, it was great
Location: minutes walk to bushaltestelle to take you to Seiser Alm Bahn - Cabinovia Alpe di Siusi. Walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. If you go in December, the Christmas market is right outside your door including an ice rink.

United States of AmericaDidn’t like hauling our luggage down a hill to check in at a different location, then having to haul it back up the hill to the hotel. Since there is no air conditioning, each room should have a fan for warm nights. Also, the clothes dryer was out of order.
Location was great, staff very friendly, cozy common rooms

United States of AmericaThe person who checked us in was very friendly, but not knowledgeable about the gondolas and going up the mountain peaks. She said we needed an entire day to go up and see everything. Maybe she thought we wanted to hike for hours. We met a couple at breakfast the next morning who had already gone on the gondola and let us know it was a 10 min. bus ride right up the street to get to the base of the mountain and ride the gondola! It was breath taking and we went along some trails and took many pictures. The entire outing was three hours. To think that we almost missed that!! We were so thankful to meet the couple who was knowledgeable of the area!
It was a lovely location and we especially liked the decor, with many items from years past as this hotel has so much history! It has been updated with so many amenities, but the decorative items were appreciated to remember the many years this hotel has been in existence. The breakfast was delicious!

United States of AmericaIt was more difficult than expected to find the Villa Kastelruth to check in. (Through the left arch then down around the hill to the left past the carabinieri.)
Everything! The honor bar is an especially nice touch but everything was great.

MaltaThe noise is a problem, it could be because it's an old house so all noises from the next room can be easily heard especially in the early morning.
The location was excellent. Also the breakfast and more than that the staff was so helpful and made me feel welcome. They answered to my questions and even showed interest in being of service.

United States of AmericaParking is not right adjacent. It's close but some may not like it. I liked that parking was in a modern secure structure, especially with a rental car.
You can't beat the location. You are right in the middle of everything. There were several street fares during our stay, just outside the front door. The incredible staff serves a wonderful breakfast and even remembers your coffee preferences. You can't get better pastry either. The facilities are what you expect and want for this location.

United States of AmericaThe bed was a wee bit hard for my liking (but I did like having a sheet). As a hiker, I wish breakfast started at 7 am instead of 7:30.
Fantastic location in the town center. Nice little balcony with two chairs. The common area was nice to relax if you needed more space or wanted to socialize with fellow travelers.

United States of AmericaCalled itself a bed and breakfast but doesn’t actually include breakfast. Offers a breakfast for 15€ per person after you check-in. Also offers to add dinner (30€ per person at check-in and tells you it’s ok to request it when you get there but when we asked to add dinner we were told it was sold out for that night and had no alternative available. Everything in town closes at 7 pm! Even the markets were closed.
Easily accessible, honor bar downstairs.
