Just details : Although the room was very big and spacious, it could be even better with some furniture to enhance the space (like a division or a sofa) . The most annoying thing was the proximity of the train station, with trains going by since very early in the morning.

The building (a century-old house) and the gardens are beautiful ! the room was great ! Big and quite confortable All the staff was super nice and helpfull.

Such a gracious and charming place with many original features within an easy walk of the Stresa waterfront. The family owners are a joy and very, very welcoming. We enjoyed drinks in the stunning garden on arrival direct from Milan airport by Alibus. Daily room service was a bonus. We were also appreciative of the small fridge in our room. Fantastic breakfast choices and enjoyed those coffees.

Nothing to dislike.

This was a family villa ( mansion) converted to an hotel still run by the family. The service was personal and very warm, as if you were a visiting relative. The location is excellent, up a steep hill just beyond the edge of the old center of Stressa. With a staircase behind the hotel down to the road it was a 10 minute walk at most to the historic centre and another two minutes to the lake. There is paid private parking on the hotel grounds (must be requested) and no need for your car once parked because the centre of Stressa is small. Our room was large with two windows, one with a small balcony, looking out to the town and the lake, the other a side window overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also fairly large with a combined tub and shower and a window. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The breakfast room seemd to be a former large dining room with a row of windows making it very bright. Breakfast was a buffet with all one would expect, fresh fruits, sliced meats and local cheeses, breads, hard boiled eggs, yoghurts, fresh pastries and lovely homemade fruit tarts and cakes. Drinks: fruit juices, water, tea, coffee. milk, and espresso coffes on request (cappucino, caffe latte, straight espresso). There was a hotel bar and several lounge rooms if staying in the hotel.

We loved everything at Du Parc Hotel

We received a lovely warm welcome from Cyria who gave us lots of information about the local area also. We were given the most lovely room for our stay with an amazing view and a balcony too, on the 3rd floor. We loved the room as soon as we walked in! The hotel itself, family owned and once a private residence, is just stunning. The detail in the decoration is beautiful and the dining room where we had breakfast was just spectacular. The craftsman ship of years gone by looks just as stunning now as it did then and it is the most amazing room in a beautiful property. There was a large choice at breakfast of cold meats, breads, croissants, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit salad etc. and was very enjoyable. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a short walk down the road and you are in the main square of Stresa with lots of restaurants, shops etc. and the small boats which can take you over the the 3 small islands. We met Alessandro and his wife who own and run the hotel and their young son. Alessandro was very welcoming and friendly and shared with us a background of the property which was very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Du Park in Stresa and thank all the staff for a lovely stay as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebration holiday and we very much look forward to going back again one day!

I loved the fact that it was an authentic villa which has been lovingly restored and modernised but with none of the charm and original features removed. In addition, the staff, the hotel is family owned and you can tell,were exceptionally attentive. Nothing was too much bother and every member went above and beyond to ensure that we had a grt time. We will definitely return
